Surprise floods through you as Tessa looks your way. You give her a small smile and see her relax. You look up to Charlotte seeing her give the two of you a small smile.

"It's Lady Belcourt. She's downstairs. In the Sanctuary."

You stand up, your mind already made up on the matter. You stand beside Charlotte as Tessa tries to make her own decision. You know her curiosity will win in the end though. You give a soft yawn feeling drained after the vision you had earlier. Eventually Tessa stands up and you smirk knowing you were correct in your assumption. Before anyone can stop the three of you, you all leave the room. You're only halfway down the corridor when Will and Jem catch up. You give a small smile as they fall in step with the two of you. You quietly recall your vision in your mind and begin feeling sad. Jem went through that at such a young age that it's saddening. You're suddenly broken out of your thoughts when you hear them talking about vampires.

"But they still can't enter hallowed ground, then? Does that make them damned?"

"That depends on what you believe," says Jem. "And whether you even believe in damnation at all."

"But you hunt demons. You must believe in damnation!"

"Tessa just because demons are real doesn't mean damnation is. I don't believe in damnation."

"I believe in good and evil," says Jem. "And I believe the soul is eternal. But I don't believe in the fiery pit, the pitchforks, or endless torment. I do not believe you can threaten people into goodness."

You nod along with what Jem says watching Charlotte and tuning out Tessa. It's not as if you hate your sister it's just that your thoughts differ. They have for a while and it's becoming increasingly evident lately. You see a door in front of you before Charlotte opens it with a key. You enter the room and see a woman sitting in the Sanctuary before the light in the room dims. You follow Charlotte as she moves forward.

"Lady Belcourt. Please let me introduce you to Miss Theresa Gray and her sister (Y/N)."

You hear a conversation, but not the words as you stare at Lady Belcourt. She is a beautiful woman, but there is something unnatural about her. You can't say what it is that makes her unnatural to you, but it has you on edge. You see her angrily look at Will before speaking to him. Jem's voice breaks through to you and you pay attention once more.

"You can disguise yourself as anyone, is that correct? A perfect disguise- appearance, voice, and manner? That's what I heard." She asks Tessa ignoring your presence.

You back away from the group and lean against a wall. Not long after Will does the same and you watch the encounter. Camille holds out a necklace your sister will use to Change. Jem goes forward and grabs the necklace bringing it to Tessa. She grans the necklace before closing her eyes and Changing. When she opens her eyes her fear floods into you and you stand up straighter. Vaguely you see Camille look your way when you do this, but ignore it.

"Oh, God," she says in a soft voice. "I-my heart's not beating. I feel as if I've died. Jem-"

You slump in relief after that and see Camille smirk at you. Will shifts beside you in discomfort, but you just cock your head looking at her. When you fearlessly hold her eyes she gives a smile before receiving her necklace. A smile touches her lips as she looks you over as if she is assessing you. You stand straighter in place causing her to give a small laugh.

"What other powers do you have dear?"

"How about I just show you?"

You hold out a hand as everyone watches you curiously and the flame appears. Once your whole hand is encased in the flames Camille laughs again. You extinguish the flames feeling even more drained than before. That's when you realise everyone is staring at you. You give a nervous chuckle before brushing a stray strand of hair behind your ear.
