You come out of the vision to see that everyone is gone and you heave a sigh. A feeling of dread flows into you and you bite your lip pushing down the feeling. Suddenly you feel as if a string connecting you to something or someone. You leave the drawing room and follow the string to where it is leading you. Confused at this new power you allow it to take you over so that you may understand it. Once you find the end of the string you give a soft smile. He turns around and smiles seeing you behind him.

"(Y/N) I thought you were still in the drawing room."

"I was, but I found a new power and allowed it to take control. It lead me to you."

Thomas gives a smile as you feel more strings appear and connect to you. You feel over them and realise that you have one for every person in the Institute except for Nate. You brush that small fact away as Thomas brushes a loose strand of hair from your face with a fond look. You smile right before the summoning bell starts ringing and you give Thomas a confused look. He looks confused as well and you both meet up with Will and Jem. They look surprised seeing you and Thomas together before brushing it off. They open the door and go outside with you following. Thomas stays to keep watch at the front door as you see the name on the coach. Something suddenly tells you to hide your identity from the man and you grab Will's wrist. The three of you stop for a second a few feet away.

"I feel this need to protect my identity from Mortmain, but I don't know why."

"Then you can pretend to be my twin sister while we speak to him."

You nod and the three of you continue forward to meet Mortmain. Once there, Will does the introductions and you give a small smile when Mortmain looks at you. You remain silent just watching him while he converses with Will and Jem. After a few minutes you see him look to the steps and you turn to look behind you seeing your sister coming forward. Obviously, her curiosity has gotten the best of her.

"And who is this? Another Shadowhunter?"

Will and Jem turn at the same time and see Tessa. Jem looks pleased to see her; Will, of course looks exasperated, and perhaps a touch amused causing you to snort. "Tessa," he says. "Couldn't keep your nose out, could you?" He turns to look back to Mortmain. "This is Miss Gray, of course, Nathaniel Gray's sister."

Mortmain looks appalled as you ignore Tessa looking at you. "Oh, good God. I should have realised. You look like him. Miss Gray-"

"I don't think she does, actually," Will says, but rather quietly causing you to give a small smile.

You tune out as the bad feeling comes back and Tessa rants to Mortmain. You can already guess what she is saying, so you carefully watch Mortmain. First, you wanted to hide your identity and now you feel this bad feeling about him. It's almost as if your gut is telling you something, but you aren't sure what it is. The Dark Sisters are warlocks, but Nate and Mortmain are both mundanes. So, why are you getting the same feeling from all three of them? You almost let out a frustrated breath over thinking about this.

"Did you also know," Mortmain says, "that he paid a pair of warlocks called the Dark Sisters to create a binding spell that would animate these creatures not with mechanics but with demonic energies?"

"We did," says Jem. "Though I believe there is only one Dark Sister remaining. Will destroyed the other one."

"But her sister brought her back via a necromantic charm," says Mortmain, a hint of triumph in his tone, as if were relived to at last have a piece of information that they did not. "Even now the two of them are ensconced in a mansion in Highgate-it used to belong to a warlock, until de Quincey had him killed-working on the binding spell. If my sources are correct, the Dark Sisters will attempt to implement the spell tonight."
