Angel Wings

Chapter 6

You turn around to see who has come in and give a smile. Thomas comes over as his surprise flows into you. His eyes look over you making sure you are okay causing you to give a huge smile. You're still not sued to people looking after you. Even growing up you took care of yourself most of the time. You sheathe your katana as you silently think.

"I didn't think you would want to train today. You didn't go to sleep am I right?"

"Yeah, but I can't fall asleep. My mind is too active for me to sleep."

"Alright then we can work for a while."

For a while the two of you go over different forms and ways to strike with the katana. Eventually you begin to practice on the dummies in the room. Quickly you hack apart the dummies as you continue to feel Thomas' eyes on you. Sweat drips down from your brow as you turn to Thomas and see his nervous look causing you to worry. You sheathe your katana causing him to look you in the eyes.

"Thomas what's bothering you?"

"I just don't know whether or not to apologise for earlier."

"If you feel something for me then don't apologise because I do have feelings for you. I have since I ran up to the carriage outside of Hyde Park."

"Good because now this won't be awkward. Ever since I first saw you protecting yourself and your sister at the Dark Sisters manor I began to have feelings for you. Everyday they've grown stronger as I have gotten to know you and I have a question for you. (Y/N) I love you will you spend the rest of your life with me?"

Shocked your eyes are wide and you blank out for a second. Then a wide smile breaks out onto your face. You throw your arms around him hugging him tightly.

"Yes. A million times yes Thomas. I love you too."

"I only have this ring I kept for a few years. I got it when I first came here, but it doesn't fit me. I want you to wear it so that when we both see it we'll be reminded of what we're working towards."

He gently hands you a ring that you place on your middle finger. It's a simple metal ring, but it means the world to you. You smile before kissing him and he puts his hands on your hips. You pull away realizing you've been training for three hours now. You frown at the thought before giving a soft sigh.

"I've got to go check on Nate. I haven't seen him since everything last night."

"Go ahead and check on your brother. I'll see you later."

You smile brightly before kissing his cheek and heading to Nate's room. You knock gently before entering seeing he is still asleep. You close the door behind you before moving to his side. You gently brush his hair out of his face as he sleeps peacefully. Obviously, the Silent Brothers helped him last night. You're about to kiss his forehead when you get a bad feeling. It's the same type of feeling you got from the Dark Sisters. Surprised you straighten up before leaving the room and almost run into Jessamine. You frown as she goes into Nate's room, but decide not to make a scene. You walk down the halls going to the dining room where everyone except Jessamine and Tessa are. You quietly sit down and eat your food silently.

"(Y/N) are you feeling okay dear?"

"I'm perfectly okay now Charlotte. I've just got a lot going on up here." You reply pointing to your temple.

She nods before her and Henry leave the dining room. Shortly afterwards you do the same and go to Tessa's room. You softly knock, but do not get an answer. Concerned you enter to see her fast asleep in Camille's gown. You sigh before leaving her room and going to your own. You strip out of your gear and wash the sweat and holy water off your body before getting into your nightgown. Afterwards you place Thomas' ring back on your hand before crawling in bed. After a few minutes you fall into a very light sleep.
