Hey, everybody. Happy Monday! Hope yours is going better than mine. If not, here's an update for ya. :)

Once again I was in the bathroom, in my undergarments, cleaning out a wound. I had taken my morning shower and began applying alcohol to the burn on my hip. It had started to rub against my clothing which caused it to hurt like hell. Nothing I haven't dealt with before, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt.

Hissing in pain, I applied the cotton swab laden with alcohol before applying a bandaid with some ointment. At that precise moment I hear a rap at the door. "Just a second, please!" I said hastily and scrambled to get the medical supplies put away. A bunch of stuff clattered to the floor and I bent to scoop it up.

"(Y/N)? You okay?" Rocket. Oh shit.

"I'm fine, babe. Give me just one-" I was cut off by the door opening. I was caught red handed.

"What didja do now?" He didn't look too happy so I distracted myself by spinning my thumb ring. "Oh, nothing. I'm perfectly fine! See?" I opened my arms, despite my half nakedness, but carefully turned my hip away from him.

"You're a bad liar." He stated before grabbing my arm and spinning me around. "I knew it."

I blushed a bit. "Knew what?"

"That you'd hurt yourself. That's what you get for being an idiot." He said with a shake of his head.

"I know how to take care of myself! I had worse injuries when I fought underground! Hell, I was in worse condition in the hands of my government! You don't have to baby me!" I fumed.

This earned a glare from the raccoon. "I'm not babying you. I worry about you. Besides, I get to tell you that I was right about you hurting yourself. Whether you like it or not, doll, you're accident-prone."

I scowled. So what if I was accident-prone? I can kick ass just as good as anybody else on this team. "It's just a little mark. It's fine. Doesn't even hurt- OUCH!" Rocket had reached out and barely touched the skin around the burn. His smug smirk returned. "What was that about it not hurting?"

"Prick," I muttered and smacked his paw away from me. He chuckled lowly and I felt a tingle run down my spine. Even though he was such an ass sometimes, that was part of his charm and something I liked about him.

I made sure the bandaid was still in place before grabbing the rest of my clothes and putting them on. I felt a paw rest on my lower back that started rubbing circles on my skin. "You know...I could use a massage. My back has so many knots in it, it's hard as a rock."

"You wanna know what else is hard as a rock?" Rocket said lowly.

I gasped scandalously. "Rocket! The door is wide open and anybody can come waltzing in-"

With two clicks the door shut and locked. "Well, that problem's fixed. What's next?" His wolfish grin made me a little nervous.

"I actually smell and need a shower-" I backed up a bit and made a gesture towards the stall.

"We can do that together."

My face heated up and I found a sudden interest in my feet. I felt him lift my chin to look at him and saw concern in his eyes. "What's wrong? I've never seen you this nervous before."

My face was crimson by now and I shook my head. I could win any fight, battle intergalactic aliens, but I was too embarrassed to talk about my inexperience in intimacy. Sure, I had fooled around with Rocket a bit and had a few boyfriends back on Earth, but never actually went any further than that. I explained everything to him as we sat in the bathroom floor. After everything, he ran a paw down my face, some of the longer hairs tickling my nose.

"(Y/N), I wouldn't want to push you into doing anything. I've fucked up a lot of shit in my life but I ain't about to fuck this up. If you don't talk to me then I don't know." I nodded and he rubbed my face before resting his forehead against mine. "You have no idea how bad I want you. But I will wait." He exhaled then smashed his lips against mine, teeth clashing slightly as he held the back of my head and neck.

The kiss had turned into something softer and Rocket laced his fingers in mine. Rocket was full of surprises. He could be crude and rude, but he honestly cared about my opinion. Most of the guys I dated on Earth were complete jerks and only cared about themselves. Not to say that I didn't want to be intimate, just not with a bunch of stuck up jackasses.

"HEY! I don't know who the hell's in there but you better come out before I piss myself!"

"Calm your tits, Quill! We'll be out in just a second!" Rocket turned back to me. "You know, we gotta stop meeting like this, babe. We're always up to no good in the bathroom." He winked at me and I'm sure my cheeks turned a little pink. Rocket slid the door open and Quill practically pushed his way in and started undoing his pants.

"Jeez, dude! You could wait till the door's shut!" I shouted and put a hand up to my face and turned to leave.

"So how'd everything go with Gamora?"

My eyes widened as I looked back at Rocket who was leaning against the door frame talking to Quill.

"It was...nice. Was it you who set it up?"

"Nah. I helped, but (Y/N) planned it after she overheard you trying to set us up." I thought Quill'd be mad but then I heard him laughing as the sink faucet turned on. The laughter died down and Quill sighed. "You know, for once you weren't a douchebag."

"You keep talkin' and we'll see what happens."

"Thanks, Rocket. I-"

Rocket held up a hand. "Don't thank me. I didn't do nuthin' special. If you're gonna thank somebody, it'd better be (Y/N)."

Momentary silence then, "You really like her, huh?" Quill questioned. I was just about to leave but paused, waiting for an answer.

"Aw, crap. I've got it bad, real bad, Quill. She's somethin' special..."

Smiling, I quietly made my way to my room so I wasn't discovered. I closed the door and leaned against it with a sigh. I think I might actually, finally, be in love.
