"You see, I don't like blackmail. But since you haven't played nice at all for me," Alejandro mocked in a little kid voice, "I guess I'll have to play dirty, even though I originally wanted too anyway."
I was used to him playing dirty anyway but I know he has something tricky up his sleeve. He knows he's defeated because I won't give him any information. He knows that he can't kill me because I know everything about Brad. He knows all of this.
I choose not to answer him. He doesn't control me and he never will. I can answer when I please. He can always beat me but he can't take my dignity. That's only something I decide.
"I'm gonna blackmail your husband!" He laughed in an evil voice, "I'm gonna send him pictures of your bloody body and he'll come running right to me, doing anything I ask."
"You wouldn't," I say, in shock a little bit.
"Oh, I would," he replied and he smiled in a twisted way as he took out his phone, taking pictures of my bloody body. I knew he sent the pictures to Brad when immediately Alejandro got a call from Brad. "See, I told you," he smirked, pulling up the phone to reveal a his phone ringing off the hook with Brad's number flashing on the screen.
Alejandro answered the call, putting Brad on speaker.
"Where is she? What are you doing to her?" Brad asked, angrily.
"Oh," Alejandro chuckled. "I see you remember me. You see, your wife is fine but she won't be for much longer. I know you've seen the pictures. Come here to the address I sent you with no policemen and I'll consider keeping her alive."
"Brad, don't come!" I screamed, trying to get through to my husband and my captor punched me right in my face. I tried to keep in my cries so that Brad would not hear me and worry about me. But I could not help it and a sob broke through me.
"I'm coming now. Honey, don't worry. I'll be there," my husband directed towards me from through the phone.
"Aw, husband and wife moment," my enemy mocked.
"Shut up, Alejandro. I promise you, that if you lay your hands on my wife again, you'll be sorry," Brad seethed.
"Oops, I could have sworn that I was the one making the threats. Come or I guess I'll have to ruin your wife," Alejandro threatened, while hanging up the phone and I shivered.
Two Hours Later
I was always one brave person. Being optimistic was my way of being brave. I was that person who could punch my way through life even when it was getting the best of me. But right now, I have not found myself and I feel like that optimistic person just might be gone.
But right when I thought that, Brad showed up at the warehouse but not without Alejandro behind him, laughing like the devil, as always. I had been dreaming about the day, for the last two and a half weeks when Brad would come get me. But I never imagined that I would see Brad because of blackmail. I thought it would be to get me away from this place forever. Life is too horrible to be a fairytale, where the prince saves the damsel in distress or when the brave knight slays the dragon or when the courageous princess rules her kingdom with authority. None of these things ever happen in life.
Instead, the damsel in distress dies, and the brave knight becomes frightened. The courageous princess looses hope, and her world becomes a world of hatred. That being said, I know life is not a fairytale for me or for anyone. I will probably be stuck here, and chances are that Brad does not have a plan to escape either.
