So, here's the deal. I said I was starting a new story but I never elaborated because I was so tired.

I know you guys love this story. The comments that I get make my day. So, you know the new story that I said I was starting the other day? That is going to be the prequel of Always Broken. You know, the story with Lorena and Sahem. And you guys might be so confused right now but let me explain.

So, the prequel of Always Broken is going to take place thousands of years BEFORE the current time of Always Broken. It's going to be in Lorena and Sahem's point of view. Those are Brad's ancestors. The story is meant to give a little more excitement to readers and give them an older and more sweet version of Brad and Jackie's relationship. And I also wanted to give you guys some characters that are mature. It's also going to kind of let you see how Brad and Sahem are so alike. The story is going to take place in ancient times.

Obviously, this is different from anything done on Wattpad. I did not want to ruin the story of Always Broken by making a sequel, so I said: "Why not make a prequel?"

For the sake of us all, the prequel WILL NOT be posted in a different book. It will be right in this book. So when Always Broken is finished, the series won't end and I'll start the prequel RIGHT on this book. That saves a lot of work and you guys won't have to find a whole new book and read it. So, when Always Broken is finished, I will go on and post the prequel right on this current book.

Now! I don't want to start a story that no one wants to read so comment if you want to read this story. (The summary is posted below.)

For those who haven't read the summary of the book, here it is:

"Please," I cried with tears running down my face, "I know that we may be your enemy. But don't destroy this land or my people. We are just a small kingdom, looking for nothing but peace."

I lowered my head while covering myself even the more with my veil. I did not dare look the man who came to attack my city in the eyes. Who knows, maybe that would provoke him even more.

There was a pause and the man jumped off his horse, demanding the soldiers to yield and not attack. I heard his footsteps come closer to me and I lowered my head even more as a sign of respect towards him while using more of my veil to cover my face. Even though I was a princess, he was a prince and he could strike at any time. Like I said, I did not want to provoke him.

Soon, his footsteps came to a stop and he was right in front of me. He said, "Your father, the king, challenged us to a fight. I take threats seriously."

"Yes, My Lord. I am asking you to forgive my father. Please, we just want peace. We mean no harm unto thee. Do not hurt my land or my people," I whispered while keeping my head down but then I felt a light touch on my chin, bringing my face up to look into his eyes.

"What is your name, princess?" He asked, very sternly. I tried to avoid his eyes but eventually, I looked into his eyes, encountering eyes as blue as the sea.

"Lorena, My Lord. Have mercy and don't destroy our land," I pleaded and he remained silent, just staring into my eyes while I stared into his. For an Assyrian who was known to be cruel, he sure did have the heart of at least a little integrity. It was like I could beg for his mercy through my eyes who wanted nothing but peace. But as I stared, I lowered my eyes again, trying to convince myself that I feel no good for the person who was just approaching my homeland to attack.

"My name is Sahem, prince of Assyria," he said, gruffly and then he turned around to his commander, "We will retreat. Give this princess some gifts. Frankincense and some oils will do. Send her home with at least 100 sacks of barley."

"But My Prince, we were supposed to attack this kingdom. We were all prepared to fight. No one has brought gifts of peace with them," the commander said, stressed out. It was obvious they had all been prepared for the desolation of the place that I call home and that scared me.

"Don't question me, I am not to be fooled with. Command all soldiers back to the palace and make them prepare gifts for the princess, now. I will not repeat myself. Anyone who attacks this land will have me to deal with. I'll have their heads," he seethed.

"Yes, My Lord," the commander replied and he was gone to redirect the soldiers.

"I thank you for your kindness," I said, thanking Jehovah for his mercies and touching the heart of this Assyrian.

"I shall be gone for good after you receive the gifts, My Lady. Tell your father not to threaten me anymore and maybe I shall not make anymore trips here," he said and before he departed, he took my hand into his, kissing it, while doing a short bow.

I looked up, watching him leave and I thought, 'How can someone so merciful and mean at the same time?'
