It's almost time for my date with Edwin... and Sofia and Brandon. I know it's a super lowkey date, it's only mini golf and dinner, but I'm still nervous. What if it's a horrible date, but what if it's a great date. I never thought I would be this nervous for a date, but this is like my first date ever. Back in Hawaii, I never dated. I never had a guy actually ask me out and shit. I went out with guys, but it wasn't a date. I paid for my own food, he paid for his own, and we would kiss after, but it was never anything more. I had one boyfriend, but we didn't do much besides argue and have sex. So excuse me if I'm a little unexperienced with the whole going on dates thing.
After a million outfit changes, I decide on dark wash high waisted jeans, a red crop top, and my adidas. You can never go wrong with jeans and a crop top. The doorbell rings as I'm putting my shoes on. My mom answers the door.
"Leilani! They're here!"
I quickly tie my laces and run downstairs. Edwin has on jeans with the cuffs rolled up, a FILA sweater, and his infamous Balenciaga's. Sofia has on mom jeans and a yellow ruffled crop top with vans. And Brandon has on dark wash denim jeans, adidas sneakers, and....a red top. We look each other up and down in disgust. If people didn't know us, they would think that I was going on a date with Brandon and not Edwin.
"Wow. You sure you're going on a date with the right people?" My mom says reading my mind.
I grab Edwin's hand, "See you later mom."
"Have fun!" She screams behind me as I close the door
We walk to the car in silence. Brandon and Sofia get in the front and Edwin and I get in the back. Brandon pulls off in silence and we ride the whole ride in silence besides the music coming from the radio. This date is starting off better than expected.
Note the sarcasm.
Brandon parks and we get out as they both split the pay for mini golf. As we walk to the first hole, I feel Brandon's eyes on my back. I turn around and he quickly darts his eyes in a different direction. We get situated at our holes and Brandon finally breaks the silence.
"If I knew you were gonna copy me I would've worn something else."
"Don't flatter yourself, Arreaga." I say, "It's just mere coincidence that we are wearing the same thing."
"I think you look amazing."Edwin says
I smile and swing my golf club, but miss the ball completely. I try a couple more times, continuing to miss. This is my first time mini golfing ever and I didn't think it would be as hard as it is. I swing hard again and miss so bad that I fall on my ass. Brandon starts to laugh at me.
"Have you ever mini golfed before?" He asks while clutching his stomach from laughing so hard.
Edwin sees the look on my face so he comes up behind me and helps me position the club the right way. "Like this, Lani."
He pushes his groin against my ass and presses his hands tightly against mine. I suck in my breath as the hairs on my arms stand up. I can feel his lips move softly against my ear as he talks to me. I know I shouldn't, but I push my ass against his groin as he speaks to me. His speech becomes slower and eventually he helps me swing just so the electrics can stop. He steps back and watches as my ball makes it into the hole. I jump up and down, excited that the first time that I actually hit the ball, it makes it into the hole. Edwin grabs me and picks me up spinning me around. Brandon sucks his teeth.
"That doesn't count, you helped her."
Edwin shrugs, "She still made it, did she not?"
Sofia sighs, "It's my turn now."
