Who wants me to do a chapter in Isaac's POV? Lemme know
—————————

We reach the ice cream parlour and Isaac holds open the door for me. I smile and walk in. He follows closely behind as we walk to the counter.
"What can I get you?" The lady smiles.
"Uh, I'll have a strawberry and Aspen will have..." he trails off.
"Nutella." I cut in, smiling.
"Nutella!" Isaac repeats to the lady. The lady smiles.
"Y'all are cute. How long you been together?" She asks. My eyes widen. I look across at Isaac who's blushing.
"Oh. Us? I- we. Err we're not, hmm, together." He stutters, averting his gaze. The woman chuckles.
"Oh. Don't worry, boy, it won't be long." She winks at Isaac. His eyes go wide and he begins coughing.
"Oh, no. Uh- I don't, I don't, Uh, like her. I mean, I like her. Not that way though. I mean, she's totally likeable but I don't...." I laugh and place a hand on his shoulder.
"Isaac here is a bit socially awkward. Don't mind him."
The lady hands us our ice creams, and before I can hand over the cash, Isaac throws his hand out to her. I smile at him and we walk away.

"So, 21 questions?" Isaac asks as we walk along the beach. I nod.
"Sure. You first."
"Favourite place?" He asks, running a hand through his hair.
"Hmm. The beach. Yeah, it's so peaceful and beautiful. Like, you don't have to worry." I say, gazing out at the waves. Isaac nods.
"Nice. Mines probably the library. I love books, they're an escape. A whole world and new people just right there." I look across at him and see a small smile on his face.
"That's a good one. Umm, if you could be one animal, what would it be?" I ask, playing with the ends of my hair.
"Hmm. A bird. Just so free. Can go wherever, See places." I nod, smiling.
"I'd be a unicorn. Beautiful and mysterious." I grin. I feel Isaacs eyes and me and look at him. "What?" I ask.
"You don't have to be a unicorn to be beautiful and mysterious. You already are." I smile and Isaac starts blushing. "Sorry, I Uh, shouldn't have."
"No, it's fine. Thank you." I look at my feet.

We go on for a while, walking up and down the golden sand and asking questions. I decide to go for a risky one.
"Why are you so awkward around me?" I ask. "I mean, you're a little awkward around others but with me it's like woah." He looks at his feet.
"Honestly? I find you so intriguing. You're so confident and proud, but you hide yourself. I don't understand why you feel the need to do that. I had a crush on you for the longest time, you know? Since year three. I was head over heels for you. I used to draw you pictures and make you cards for your birthday. I'd want to give them to you, but always chickened out." He confesses with a smile.
"Really? That's so sweet!" He laughs awkwardly.

"Right. You've had your hard question, I get mine. Why did you pretend to be someone you're not?"
I gulp and look at my feet. This is something I've never told anyone, not even Mikey.
