Isaacs Mum has ushered us into the dining room where she served giant bowls of creamy carbonara which I had to try very hard not to scoff it down.
A piece of pasta was hanging down my chin and I tried to discretely suck it back up, but failed, making a horrible slurping noise. Isaac looks up from across the table, a huge grin on his face. I smile sheepishly and turn back to the meal.
"Thank you, Mrs Finley." I say to Isaacs Mum. She smiles.
"My pleasure. And please, call me Sandy." I smile. Isaac taps my foot with his under the table and I turn to him. He has a mischievous smile on his face.
"What?" I mouth to him.
"Hi." He mouths back. I roll my eyes and finish the meal.We finish the dinner and Sandy rushes off the kitchen to finish making her 'Dessert Spectacular'. Isaac takes me into the lounge and flops onto one of the couches.
"Cmere." He mumbles. I sit on the end of the couch and he shakes his head, sitting up. He moves down the couch so he's right next to me, grabs my arms, and pulls me on top of him. I giggle.
"What are you doing?" I ask. He wraps his arms around my waist and nuzzles him face into my neck.
"Cuddling." He murmurs into my neck. I laugh and push against his chest, trying to get away. He grunts and holds me tighter.
"Isaac! You're Mum will see and she's already on your case!" I hiss at him, thrashing in his arms.
"No she won't." He says.
"Yes she will!" I reply, trying to untangle myself.
"Nuh Uh." He mumbles."Isaac? Let the poor girl go!" His Mum exclaims. I giggle as he lets go of me and groans.
"Told you." I smirk at him.
"Seriously Mum, it's called privacy." Isaac glares at his Mum.
"Don't be rude. I'm starting to think Aspen shouldn't stay. You're all over her." Sandy peers down at him.
"No. Mum, she has to stay! She can't go back there..." he trails off, realising he's changed the story he told his Mum. Sandy narrows her eyes at him.
"What do you mean? Her parents are out of town..?" Issac squeezes his eyes shut. And waves his hand.
"Yeah. They are." He says, keeping it simple. He takes my hand and pulls me to my feet. "I'll show Aspen her room." He says, before pulling me to the stairs.Isaac takes me down the hall, before pushing me into a room. He pulls the door shut and I lean against it.
"I've waited too long. I have to do this." He murmurs, before resting his hand on my chin and bringing his lips to mine. The kiss is gentle and slow, but it manages to cause and eruption of sparks in my stomach, one that Axel never gave me. He pulls away and lets out a sigh. I look back down at his lips and put my hand on the back of his head, pulling him back to me. He smiles against my lips and kisses back.
"Isaac. Aspen. Dessert is ready!" Sandy calls from downstairs. Isaac rolls his eyes and continues to kiss me.
"We'd better go." I mumble against his lips. He hums in response, but doesn't move. I laugh and pull away. "Come on. Before she comes up here." He frowns and moves away from me.
"We don't want that. She's already done it twice." He pecks my lips once more before opening the door and walking out, sending me a cheeky grin. I roll my eyes and follow him, still shaken up from the kiss."Thank you so much, Sandy." I Thank Isaacs Mum as I take our plates into the kitchen.
"My pleasure. Now, Isaac, take Aspen up to her room. No misbehaving." She says sternly. Isaac rolls his eyes.
"Yes, mother." He nods his head in the direction of the stairs, a glimmer in his eye. "Shall we?" I nod and follow him back to the room. He walks in and sits on the bed. I follow him, lying back and looking at the ceiling.
"You ok?" Isaac and. I hum.
"I dunno. I'm sorry you had to be there when my dad..."
"Dont apologise. I'm glad I was there. And, it gave me the chance to do this." He leans across to me, and places his lips against mine. I hum against his lips. We pull away and he lies back next to me.
"I could get used to that." He mumbles.
"I could too." I murmur. I groan as the material of my overalls dig into my side. Isaac looks across.
"Do you wanna get changed?" He asks.
"I would. But I don't have any clothes." I reply.
"I'll be right back." He says, before jumping off the bed and leaving the room.
I can't believe it, I've only just met him, but it feels so natural, just so nice. I don't have to worry about anything.
He comes back into the room and passes me a shirt and some trackies. I thank him and he kisses me on the cheek, saying goodnight, before leaving the room. I smile at how respectful he is. I pull on the clothes, which are super comfy, and hop into the bed.I'm having trouble sleeping, tossing and turning. I hear the door open and someone step into the room.
"Aspen? You awake?" The familiar voice whispers. I close my eyes and pretend to be asleep, just to see what happens. I hear a shuffle, before the bed shifts and two arms snake around my waist, pulling me into a warm chest. I smile and snuggle back into him, before closing my eyes and drifting off in to a peaceful sleep.——————————
