After the little brief moment of the kiss, Alex walked out the door and shut it softly behind him.

Did that now mean we were friends? His gesture, was somewhat...cute. Very gentle, and soft. Perhaps Alex and I were now friends? Well he did joke on with me about how he had made a new friend, so I'm assuming that meant me? I don't know.

I'm so exhausted now, but I suppose I should ring Mom and Dad and tell them about my first day here. They will be really happy for me, that I've made a friend and I really like it here too.

I grabbed my phone and made my way to my new bedroom.

I dialled the number and after two rings, Mom picked up.

"Sky!? How is it there? How's your apartment? Have you explored around the town yet? Have you eaten? How are you?" I was bombarded with questions from my ever so loving mother.

I stifled a laugh through the phone.

"I'm fine, calm down haha. My apartment needs some furniture, I went to Walmart earlier and yes I've had some pasta. It's really nice here!" I said. I could literally feel Mom's smile burning through the phone.

"That's great dear! I'm glad you like it! Dad and I could always send money over if your in need because we know your job doesn't start for a bit yet. So, your okay?" My mom questioned.

"I'm fine, very happy I guess haha. I've kinda made a new friend I guess, so I'm not going to be alone for the next two weeks before my job starts," I grinned at the thought of Alex's sweet gesture from earlier.

"Have you? What is she called? Is she nice? Where did you meet?" My mom really does need to know every detail.

"It's a he actually mom. He's called Alex and works in the apartment reception lobby. He actually came to my apartment for a bite to eat. He's really nice and I'm glad I've met him because he knows his way round and can help me with where to go to get things that I will need." I certainly let on an expression that I liked this Alex.

"Oh. Well that's good, I will have to met him sometime when I come to visit you, as you do seem very fond of him dear. And Ally called, she was asking after you, maybe she could visit you too sometime?"

Ally. My good best friend. I've known her since I could walk and she is the sweetest girl ever. With her blonde bouncy hair and her dark hazel eyes that could melt chocolate, she was my best friend throughout all my years as a toddler to a young adult. Of course we were still friends now, just not as close because of me moving away and her moving away the pervious year. She moved to somewhere in Florida, we sometimes call each other now and again, but she has different friends now and she seems to be always busy. I might try and call her one day to see if she is interested in coming up here.

"Oh yeah! That would be good, we actually haven't spoken for a while, but why did she ring you instead of me?" I was slightly confused to as why my best friend decided to ring my mother and not me.

"She didn't know you had left yet and she was in a rush, so she rang us thinking you were still here sweetie. Then she had to get off the phone, she must have being going somewhere and didn't have the time to then ring you," My mom clarified.

Can she not text now? I quick little 'Hey! Good luck!' -which would mostly likely take 10 seconds to type. Ally, try harder please.

"Okay, well I'm really tired so I'm gonna get going, love you!" I said down the phone.

"Okay, you can speak to Dad another time, love you!"

I cut off the phone and made my way to the bedroom.

I stripped off and then got changed into my nighty.

I slid into bed and flicked on the small lamp that I had bought earlier at Walmart. Seeing as I didn't not yet have a bedside table, I sat the lamp on the floor next to my bed and then picked my book up from the floor.

I nestled my self further into my bed and began to read.

My phone which was also on the floor began to vibrate. It was past 12! Who was ringing me at this time?

I check it and it was from an unknown number.

'FROM: UNKNOWN

SUBJECT: NONE

TEXT: Hello sweetheart, I've heard a lot about you and I will be seeing you soon.'

Who the hell is texting me.

I decided against replying and would figure it out tomorrow. Was my number in yellow pages or some shit? I don't know.

I had no will in me to read anymore so I put the book down and turned to the side, nearly collapsing to the floor and how slim my bed is.

"Fuck," I said aloud.

I was somewhat annoyed by this text, also very curious. Who was it? Do I know the person? How do I know them? How did they get my number?

But aside from the curiosity and wondering, I was excited for tomorrow. I would most likely see Alex again and we could go out somewhere? He seems quite cool. Maybe a walk in the nearby park? Or staying in watching films? To a fancy place to eat? I really like Alex and want to see him again.

So for the next 2 hours I lay in bed thinking: who the fuck has text me, and dreaming about seeing Alex again. I then fell asleep with a smile on my face.
