Lilith POV
I could see him panicking and he teleported away, probably thinking of how to handle the situation. Psh. It'll probably take him forever.
"Awah. You are really his daughter~?" Eliza sang. I nodded and teleported is out to an open field. I laid down on the grass looking up. They laid down and we stared up at the sky in a comfortable silence.
"You know everyone will probably start questioning you about your life right?" Alexander asked and I closed my eyes.
"I know but I could always teleport elsewhere. They'll get the message soon." I said. Genevieve appeared out of nowhere and jumped onto us.
"You are heavy woman!" The boys shouted. She grinned and got up.
"So what are we going to do today?" She asked while jumping up and down.
"How much sugar have you had?" I asked her. She held up five fingers.
"Five spoons?" Nicholas asked. She shook her head.
"Five pounds of sugar~" She sang. We looked at each other.
"Well this is going to be eventful." Travis said as we facepalmed.
"Well I was planning on going to the place where I was born." I said.
"Weren't you born at the old house?" Blossom asked. I shook my head.
"I was left there on my own. I was pretty sure I wasn't born there." I answered while shrugging. They nodded.
"But do you know where you were born?" Xavier asked. I shrugged.
"Genevieve should have files for me right?" I said and looked at her. She nodded and teleported away and back carrying files in her hands.
"Here you go~" She said and jumped onto Jacob's back.
"Gah! Don't do that!" He scolded her. She giggled. I opened the files and scanned through them. None of them were really important or useful except one. The file from Slender's office.
"Awah, it says that my mom lived in the Shimmering Mountains." I said. These mountains were known for having many crystals and hot springs there.
"Can't be that hard to get there right?" Eliza asked.
"We are going to have to travel there." I said with a sheepish smile.
"Why?" They asked in unison.
"If you want me to teleport you there instantly, I can't do that. I can only teleport so far." I answered. They groaned.
"Well we could go now if you want." Xavier suggested. I nodded.
"Sure but give me a sec." I said and teleported to our room. I wrote a note saying we were going on a little vacation and should be back in about a week. I teleported back with some supplies and we left.
"Which way are we supposed to go?" Xavier asked.
"Well, we have to pass several places to reach there sooo..." I said. They groaned.
"Which town first?" Blossom asked. I shrugged.
"Shimmerlake Village." I answered. They groaned. That took about three to four hours by foot. Reaching my birth place would probably take a week or maybe more. Guess I won't be back so soon after all.
"It can't be that bad right?" Xavier asked.
Four Eternities Later....
"You know what. I take back everything I said. It's very tiring." Xavier stated. We were in our wolf forms and hidden behind the trees. We had stopped at least five times for a break which made the journey longer.
"Oh hush. It's not that bad." Eliza said while transforming into her human form so we wouldn't scare pedestrians. We did the same.
"Yeah it's not bad. It's worst." Nicholas replied. I sighed and shook my head.
"So childish." I said while chuckling.
"We can get some more supplies and continue our journey." Genevieve said while we walked closer to the village. It was fairly large and had a lake in the center. Crystals and minerals were found at the bottom of the lake. That's why it's called Shimmerlake Village.
"Alright, we'll split up into two groups and meet back here in an hour. Genevieve, Eliza, Xavier, Travis, Jacob can go get food. Nicholas, Alexander, Blossom, and I will see if there's anything else around. If you have time to spare, just explore the village. Just make sure to get back her on time." I told them. We went our separate ways.
"Where to first?" Blossom asked. I shrugged.
"I wanted to check out the lake." I said.
"Alright." They said. We walked towards the large lake. Crystals adorned the edges of the lake. Children were near the water playing with crystals. I went to the edge and picked one up. It wasn't like the other crystals. It was swirled with red and blue, shaped like a puzzle piece but different. Not just one color like the others.
"Where do they come from?" Nicholas asked while throwing a light blue one into the water. I shrugged and put the one I held in my bag.
"I mean there are a few ways to find out..." I said.
"Swim into the lake or..." Blossom started.
"Ask the villagers." Alexander finished.
"Let's try the part where we don't have to get wet first." I said and we walked towards a elderly woman who probably was watching her grandkids play.
"Umm...Hello." I said with a small smile.
"Hello. Is there something I can do for you?" She answered with a smile.
"Yeah, where do the crystals of this lake come from?" Blossom asked. She looked deep in thought.
"I am forbidden to say anything about it." She whispered. We looked at each other confused.
"But I can tell you if you keep a secret." She said and we nodded in response.
"There is a small cave under the lake that is full of crystals. They say that it's from a creature that collects them." She whispered. That doesn't really make sense but okay.
"Did you understand what the fuck she just said?" Alexander asked. We looked at each other and back at the lady.
"Nope. Just smile and nod." I responded.
"Well I guess we'll be going now." Nicholas said and we walked away.
"Psh a creature getting that much crystals? As if." Blossom said. I mean the lake had been there for a while....
"But we've seen weirder things." I said.
"Yeah I guess." Alexander responded.
"Where are you guys? We've waited for about ten minutes now." Genevieve asked. Oh shoot.
"We're coming now." I answered. We sprinted back to the front of the village.
"Jeez I thought we had to wait three years for you to come back." Eliza said sarcastically. I chuckled.
"Did you get anything?" Jacob asked.
"No we just explored the edge of the lake." Blossom answered.
"Oh well we got supplies so do we head to the next place?" Xavier asked.
"Sure why not." I answered while we looked up at the crescent moon. Have we really been here for that long?
"Even the brightest light will fade away..."
