"Hello, old friend." Katy cooed, looking at the stubby bottle of OxyContin. Untwisting the top, she shook out six of the narcotic tablets into her hand. She was settled in her lavish bathtub, the steamy water up to the edge and clumps of lavender bubbles floating around in it. Her raven hair was shoulder length and would've been more wet if she wasn't sitting up, only her lower half submerged in the heated water. She looked over the side of the tub and spotted the large bottle of vodka on the floor - she placed it there when she first came into her bathroom.
Katy was planning on downing the medication with a swig of the strong drink. Of course not the entire bottle, though. I could never finish this whole thing anyways, she thought in her mind. She leaned over and opened the bottle, then made sure the pills were still in her hand. Thinking about what she was actually taking, she laughed at how she realized it was a pretty cheap assistance. Cheap, but quick, and effective. This made her think of a scene she'll never forget..

"Why?!" she screamed at him. "Why do you need to take that shit? You told me you were fucking done with it! You're a damn liar!" Tears were escaping from her tired eyes. Travis stomped over to her. "Baby! Stop being so damn mad at me! I only took like, five!" he pleaded. "FIVE? YEAH, MORE LIKE A FUCKING HANDFUL!" she fired back. "You know I've always cared about you and it's like you don't fucking care at all - you can't even TRY to quit for me. You care about that shit more than me, dammit!" "I don't care about anything more than you! I'm fuckin' sick of talking about this Katy, you don't understand! I NEED IT!" "NO you don't. You need ME to stick around and be a witness, and suffer." Katy buried her face in her hands and was weeping helplessly. She thought about what she was thinking about saying, and even the thought of it made her heart beat out of her chest.
Her hands were shaking as he took them into his, putting his forehead against hers and kissing her cheeks, nose and mouth. God, she loved when he did that. But she wasn't in the mood to be attacked with his face-kisses. She was in the mood to say what she thought about saying a long, long time ago. She couldn't gather up the strength to say it because she loved him too much to hurt him. But he's hurting her by doing this. This drug bullshit simply just had to stop. Enough was enough. His face still close to hers, he looked into her distressed eyes. "Please stay with me." he whispered softly. Katy started slowly shaking her head, more tears rolling down her cheeks. Travis instantly started wiping them away. "Please, please please baby. I'll get better. I'll try." She's heard this all before. Her lips trembled - she was scared of what she was about to say.
"I can't..I can't do this anymore." she whispered. Travis pretended like he didn't hear what she just said and starting giving her little pecks on the lips. She was speaking to him in between the kisses. "No- No- Please- Stop- I can't- No." It seemed like he didn't hear that, either. He grabbed her hips as she let out a nervous breath. He tilted her head up and began to passionately make out with her. She was whimpered out noises, noises that tried to tell Travis to stop. Katy pushed her hands against his chest, trying to push him away. This made him move his arms to tighten around her waist as he kept kissing her sweetly. She let out a defeated croak, knowing Travis wouldn't just really listen to her or hear her out and knowing she couldn't possibly escape his strong arms. Tears were still falling from her eyes as he was kissing her. She regretted even letting him near her when they were yelling at eachother, knowing he would try and sweet-talk her and make a move on her. She couldn't even think of what she was going to say to him next.

Katy wrinkled her chin and shook her head at the memory. Refusing to reminisce anymore, she picked the vodka up off the floor after shamelessly throwing the tablets in her mouth. She tilted her head back, drinking straight from the bottle, chugging some of it down for a few seconds. Perhaps "some" of it is what it seemed like - she looked at what was left in the glass bottle and realized nothing was. She shrugged and stood the bottle back on the floor. She rested her head against the wall of the tub, feeling nauseous and in a state of mind that she didn't have control over. She sighed, sliding herself into the water that was still blazing. Her entire body was now deluged in the water, and the only part of her that was still above it was from neck up.
Katy just lay there, still for a while, her mind whirling about. Lower, she heard a voice in her head tell her. Go lower. She silently did as told and slid lower into the water, her chin now touching the surface of it. A little more, now. She went lower, and now she had no choice but to breathe through her nose because her mouth was now underwater. Her eyes struggled to stay open and she gave up, slowly shutting them. Bet you can't get your eyebrows to be underwater, too. Regardless of what this bitch in her mind was instructing her to do - she'd probably eventually do it anyways, already on the verge of losing consciousness.
She glided her entire head underwater. Every bit of her was now underwater, purple bubbles floating atop. Her chest was tightening up and her body was beginning to shutdown. She could feel her heart beat slower and her skin, her skin becoming pale -more than it already was. Her nerves jittered from her feet to the rest of her body, as a numb feeling was taking over. She opened her mouth and eyes. With her mouth open she uncontrollably took in some water, which made her body react by rapidly bursting up from underwater. She breathed fast and hard, hysterically coughing up water and breathing deep, quick breaths. She felt like the water had just betrayed her, slipping into her mouth and alarming her. She ran her fingers through her soaked black hair. She didn't quite realize what just happened to her - or what could've happened.
She was drunk and the Oxycontin hit hard - she could feel a migraine coming. She had atrocious cramps in random places on her body, which was shaking, creating little waves in the water. Katy clenched her teeth - confused, frightened, and staring at the purple bubbles twirling around her. Her mind was so out of place as she heard the annoying bitchy voice come from it again. Aw, you poor thing. Is it smart, to consider doing every single thing I dare you to do? "Sh-shuh th fuck up!" she barked, slamming her hand on the side of the bathtub.
Silence filled the bathroom.
The irritating voice in Katy's head didn't respond to her.
