The day I shifted
Lily's p.o.v
My arm was in an abnormal position. I couldn't move without screaming so I just lay there. At one moment, I felt that my hands were becoming paws and I was scared to death. This couldn't be happening! I was not a wolf and I never was.
After about fifteen minutes, I was completely shifted. Now I was even more scared. I wasn't a wolf. I couldn't have been more wrong, I was a lynx. I looked around to make sure no one saw me changing. I turned around to see my reflection in the water. I was gorgeous!
I ran as fast as I could, as far as I could. I needed some space for now, to think about what just happened to me. I entered a part of the woods I've never been to and I sat down next to a large tree. Sniffing the air I smelled a lot of things that I never imagined would be there. There were leaves and insects, even the water had a specific smell. This was amazing, I could definetely get used to this.
It was getting dark so I decided it was time to head back home. When I thought about home, I felt my body change again. I was completely naked and I was ashamed!
'Shit,' I muttered. Where was I going to find some clothes that would fit me? I couldn't go to town like 'Hey guys, yeah I just shifted back from my lynx form for the first time and I teared my clothes to shreads, so could you maybe give me some clothes?' Yeah, of course Lily, that was definetely going to work. I sighed. What was I going to do?
I was walking through the woods, naked. Suddenly I heard a sound so I hid behind the tree closest to me. I saw five wolves, sniffing the air. Keep quiet, Lily, I thought. The wolves finally ran away, not able to recognise my sent. They probably followed it deep into the woods, the place I just came from.
When I thought they were far enough, I came out of my little hiding place. But then I saw something that could be of use. I quickly ran to a bunch of bushes. The pack members that had just shifted left their clothes there.
'Thank you, my lovely fellow pack members,' I smirked.
I took the clothes and put them on. They were definetely too big so as soon as I got home, I had to change and put these clothes back where I found them.
I ran into the house and straight to my room. My closet was a goddamn murder scene. All my clothes were on the ground and it was one big mess. My dad was probably looking for weapons I didn't have. Since the day my mom died, he thought I had weapons to kill the whole pack so every once in a while he messed up my whole room.
'Thanks dad,' I murmered.
I took some shorts and a t-shirt and quickly put them on.
When I came downstairs, my dad was sitting on the couch. He didn't see me so I decided to get out the back door. I tip toed to the kitchen and opened the door. Suddenly I felt another hand on my own.
'Where do you think you're going?' my dad asked looking suspiciously at the clothes I was carrying.
'Well, Sebastian told me to wash his clothes before he shifted and then bring them back to the woods so he could put on some clean clothes when he shifted back,' I said. Please let me go, please believe me, I was thinking.
'Fine, be quick and after that you have to start cooking for the pack. Understood?' he said. 'Now go, you stupid girl. Because of you a missed the most important part of the game.' he growled.
I nodded and ran into the woods as fast as I could. The five wolves weren't back yet, so I had enough time to put the clothes exactly where I found them.
When I got back home, almost a third of the pack was sitting aroud the huge kitchen table. Right, cooking.
After I finished cooking, I took a small plate of food for myself and went to my room. I didn't know what I was going to do. Should I tell my dad about my shift or not? He would probably be happier if he knew that I wasn't human. Or would it be worse, I mean I was a huge cat, that's not even close to a wolf.
Tears started welling up and I was scared my dad was able to hear me cry, so I decided to take a shower. The water would be too loud to hear me crying.
I realised there was only one option. I could only trust Anna. She was my best friend and she had nothing to do with our pack. No one would find out about me and I would be safe.
My phone buzzed and I looked who texted me. It was Anna.
'You said you would call me! Goddamn it, Lily I was worried sick about you!'
I smiled. She was always so caring!
'I'm fine Anna, but I have to tell you something. Tomorrow in school, you'll get all the details, I promise.'
I put down my phone but two minutes later it buzzed again.
'Alright, let's skip school tomorrow, then you can tell me everything without having to worry about all the wolves'
I liked the thought of that!
'Okey, see you tomorrow A, love you'
'Love you too, goodnight!'
I turned of the lights and tried to get some sleep. This was going to be a long night.
Stephan's (Lily's father) p.o.v
I got a text from an unknown number but I knew exactly who it was.
'The plan's in action'
This was going to be a great night, knowing that I will always win.
