Lily's p.o.v

I went to my car and got in. My phone buzzed and I saw it was Anna. 

'Where shall we go?'

I had to think about that for a second.

'How about Starbucks?'

I drove of and two minutes passed until I received a text back.

'Yeah sure, see you there'

It was raining hard so this was the perfect day to skip school. We had football training but I didn't feel like running in the rain.

When I entered Starbucks, Anna was already sitting at a table near the window. She had ordered my favorite coffee and as I saw, like 100 cookies as well. She knew exactly what was going on. I definetely needed someone to tell me that everything was going to be okay.

'Spill,' she said.

I nodded and I told her everything.

'Well, I shifted, but it wasn't what I expected,' I whispered. I knew I could trust her but I was still afraid.

'You're not a wolf?' she asked hesitantly. She looked at me like I was crazy.

'Don't look at me like that! And yes, to answer your question, I'm not a wolf.' I almost yelled. People were looking at us and I gave them a small smile mouthing 'sorry'.

'But if you're not a wolf, then what are you?' she asked confused. She was scared, I could sense it. She was never scared of me, probably because I couldn't shift into an animal. Now she knew I could, she was scared to death.

'Please, Anna don't be scared, I'm not going to hurt you!' I said, giving her a faint smile. She gave me a smile back and that's when I told her. 'I'm a lynx,' I spilled.

Her eyes widened and she looked at me like she had just seen a ghost. I sighed. I should have expected this. Did I really think everything was going to be the same after I told her. How could I possibly think that? I could be happy if she still wanted to be my friend.

'If you don't want to me my friend, I totally understand,' I said with hurt in my eyes.

'I'm sorry,' she said,' it's just a lot to take in but lets get one thing straight: I will always be your friend, no matter what.' She smiled and walked over to me and hugged me tightly.

I hugged her back and smiled. 'Just one thing, Anna, you can't tell anyone, okay?'

She nodded. 'Now, what are we going to do for the rest of the day. We're not going to sit here all day, are we?' she asked smirking.

'You tell me,' I said laughing.

Stephan's p.o.v

I got out of bed an saw I received another text. The same unknown number.

'Lets meet up tonight.'

I smirked. I was going to get some information.

'You've got something for me? Where are we going to meet up?'

'You'll see tonight and don't worry, I'll find you.'

That was all I got. I decided not to push for the information, otherwise he would maybe refuse to give it to me.

Lily's p.o.v

'Well I think you should see where I live. Maybe you could meet some pack members. They won't be very nice though but don't worry about that.' I grinned.

'Sure, sounds good and we still have that project to work on so maybe we could work on that as well.' I could tell she was nervous to go to the pack house.

'Good, I'll call my dad and ask him if I can bring you with me to work on this project.' Now I was getting scared though, calling my dad... This wasn't going to end well.

I called my dad and to my surprise, he told me it was okay to bring Anna home with me.

When we arrived at my house, we went straight to my room.

'I'll get some snacks, be right back,' I said and walked out the door. When I went down the stairs, my dad was going up. I didn't look at him, too scared I guess. I went to the fridge to get some fruit and a bottle of orange juice.

Anna's p.o.v

When Lily left the room, I started looking around. I loved her, she was my friend, but I had to do what I had to do. I opened the door and looked around the landing. Suddenly her dad walked up to me.

'You do not have the right to poke around in my house,' he said, raising his voice.

'Oh, I think I do, Stephan,' I said smirking.

'And why is that huh?' he asked suspiciously. I just kept smirking.

'I believe I have some information for you, but if you're not interested, I can certainly leave.' He grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

'What do you mean information. You're not the informant, you can't be, you're human!' he almost yelled.

'Believe it or not, but there's something you need to know about your daughter,' I whispered. Why was I doing this to her, she was my friend. But then I remembered. My boyfriend or my mate as he would say was on Stephan's side. I never told him about my friendship with Lily and I wasn't going to but he found out about it. He hated her because she was the one that killed the luna of the neighboring pack. After he found out about our friendship, he forced me to tell Stephan everything about what Lily told me. Well, only the most important things. If I wouldn't do it, then he would kill my parents. Seriously my mate was so sweet that I almost died of the sarcasm I just used there.

'Well, yes I am human, but my mate is Kyle, the Blue Nightlock's alpha. He ordered me to inform you about everything your daughter told me. Well only the important things. That's why I am here.' I hated myself for doing this, but I had to. I couldn't let my parents die.

'Spill, now,' he ordered in his alpha voice.

I flinched. 'Your daughter isn't even close to being human. She's a lynx. Your archenemy.'

His eyes widened and he growled. 'That goddamn girl, I always knew something was off about her. She is not my daughter! She just made us think she was. That filthy lynx pack made her infiltrate in ours to find out about all of our secrets. That's so not going to happen!' he yelled.

'You told him?!' Lily screamed with tears in her eyes. She stood at the top of the stairs. I looked at her and I saw hurt in her eyes. She dropped the plate with all the snack on it and the whole floor was covered with orange juice.

The last thing I saw, was Lily receiving a punch in the stomach from her own dad. That's when all hell broke loose.
