It's always the goddamn tree

'Did you recognise the pack that attacked us?' I asked Alexander. Me and my best fighters were at a meeting right now to decide what we were going to do about the pack that dared to attack my men. They killed everyone guarding the boarder. I was going to kill every single one of them!
'I think it was alpha Stephan and his men. The creepy thing is, there was a lynx as well. He was helping them. He had a piece of wood in his mouth. There was a witch too.' Alexander looked worried. He was one of my best fighters and I was happy he survived the attack. He looked over to his mate, Wesley. Wesley had left the Black Floridian pack and became a rogue, but then Alexander found out he was his mate. It was a huge shock for Wesley to hear that his former pack had attacked us.
'A lynx? Why would a lynx help wolves? It makes no sense.' Then it hit me. Whaf if that lynx was just like Lily? A lynx that didn't care about the whole "we're archenemies so we don't talk to each other" thing. Of course there had to be others like Lily.
I decided I wasn't going to tell Lily it was her dad who attacked us. She would freak out and blame herself. But I couldn't keep secrets from her. She was going to find out eventually and then she would hate me for not telling her.
'Dude, just tell her and if she blames herself, then you tell her it's not her fault. If that doesn't work, then have sex with her. Sex always solves relation problems!' I heard Kaiden inside my head trying to give me advice.
'You're kidding me right! I'm not going to have sex with her to make her forget about the attack, you sick bastard!' I responded to his oh so good advice.
'Fine, but then don't blame me if she never wants to talk to you again,' he said and then left. Great, now I have no idea of what I should do. To make it worse, Lily entered with tears in her eyes. When she saw me, she ran towards me.
'What happened, Lily? Are you okay? Did they attack you?' God I was so worried about her. I embraced her tightly and let her crie against my shoulder. Everyone in the room was worried about her. She was their luna after all. 'Lily, answer me. What happened?' She had to answer me, otherwise I couldn't help her.
'No, no one attacked me. I'm fine, it's just...' I didn't let her finish. I kissed her, happy that nothing happened. But if nothing happened, then why was she crying.
'You didn't let me finish!' she yelled. She looked angry and her tears were still coming. I mouthed a 'sorry' and she glared at me.
'He has my brother, Will, and I don't even know his name! I don't know my brother's name!' She was clearly panicking and on the edge of a panick attack. I grabbed her arm, afraid that she was going to black out.
'Who has your brother and more important, how do you know?' Was she hallucinating or something? She looked at me with a 'duh' face and that's when I understood. 'Stephan,' I stated. She nodded. 'Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, Lily, but your brother is helping him. He isn't on our side!' I tried to say it nicely but it came out as an accusation. She looked at me as if she wanted to kill me.
'He's NOT on their side, don't you remember the note, Will,' she snarled. She smacked me right across my face and I was so surprised, that I stumbled back a few steps. 'If you're not going to help me, I'll do it myself!' she was so angry, but she looked so cute.
'Alexander told me himself, Lily. He saw a lynx with your dad and I assume that that was your brother helping your father.' When was she going to understand that he wasn't on our side.
'Yes, exactly, you "assumed". He isn't helping him, Stephan is forcing him to do something and no one knows what!' she exlaimed. I didn't believe her though. Her brother was a lynx and he could fight Stephan off if he wanted to.
