I woke up with the bright light coming from the ceiling of the room. I look around and saw the white walls all around. Am I at the hospital? Tanong ko sa sarili.
I sat up on my bed at napalingon ako sa kanan just to see someone approaching my side and smiled at me. "Good thing you're awake," He said at nakakunot lang ang noo kong nakatitig sa kanya.
He is wearing a coat and there is a scribble on it, Dr. Mañalac. Confirmed! Nasa hospital nga ako. I tried to remember what happened a while back.
The last thing I can remember is that I am buying some stuff at the store when I my heart starts to beat abnormal again. Palpitations, then everything went black. Kung paano at sino ang nagtakbo sa akin ditto, I don't have any idea.
"Kumusta ang pakiramdam mo? Miss? Hindi pa kasi namin alam ang information about you since, wala kang kasama when you passed out." He said and is looking at me intently.
I looked away at medyo nailang sa titig niya. He is looking at me intently at medyo nakakailang, legit. Like, we just met, no scratch that, kakakita lang namin sa isa't-isa pero kung tumingin siya parang nangingilala na ewan.
"Im your doctor nga pla, based on the lab results and some other test we conduct you have heart failure? Is it okay to ask some of your information? Kelangan namin so that we can monitor your chart." He explained, still looking at me.
Napahawak ako sa dibdib ko, I lifted my head and looked at him and managed to give him a smile. "Sure, I don't mind."
He smiled at me, and the first thing that caught my attention was his dimples. "Tatawagin ko lang yung nurse in charge sayo, para malagay nila information mo." He said and pressed something malapit sa my bed. "Pupunta na yun mamaya maya." He said and took a seat.
"Thank you," halos pabulong kong sabi. I gazed on his face and I'd say that he seemed not to be a doctor. Well, he has a good body built, I'd say na he's physically fit, no more like, he's a borta. Isama mo na rin yung mga mata. They are so soulful, they are seeming to speak.
"Staring is rude, I might melt." I heard him said. Kaya agad naman akong napaiwas ng tingin. He smiled at me again and looked at me in the eyes. "Do you know ba na may sakit ka sa puso?" He asked me, while still smiling, why is he like that? And that some kind'a creeps me out.
"I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse, almost two years ago," maikli kong sabi.
"Are you aware that MVP can be risky? Lalo na when your left ventricle of the heart enlarge?" He asked me and I can see in his eyes na nag aalala siya.
