(A/N: This is the last chapter :( This story is finished! And I want to thank everyone who read, voted, and commented. I know most of you are going to absolutely HATE me for how I ended this but... oh well. I might change it later. Kinda depressed now that it's over, and the ending is crap. But yeah, enjoy)

I didn’t waste any time; I started a quick fire and burned Jane’s remains, making sure she could never come back to this world. After I did that I raced back to the others, shock set in my mind as I tried to wrap my head around the information I now carried.

“Alice, what’s wrong?” Carlisle asked worriedly, as I burst through the door. Aro looked at me and I knew he knew what I had done.

“How dare you Alice Cullen! You had no right!” He yelled in my face, standing up.

“How dare you! You knew all along that she was carrying the disease! I had to kill her!” I screamed back.

“Y-you killed Jane?” Emmett asked shakily, not cocky for once. I nodded grimly. Aro hissed in my face.

“The Volturi are evil!” I shouted again. “They wanted to destroy the human population so they could be rulers of the whole world, but,” I pointed at Aro. “Jane was plotting against you. She was planning on killing you so she would be the leader not you!” It dawned on Carlisle what I was talking about.

“Which is why she infected B-”

“Bella yes.” I confirmed nodding my head. Aro suddenly looked defeated and sat down. I confronted him and sneered.

“So you must know the cure!” He shook his head, my heart sinking.

“There is no cure. There never has been.”

“Wh-what? Surel-”

“No Alice. There isn’t. If you don’t want to see the world destroyed then you have to kill Bella.” This sank into my head and I sat down, suddenly overcame with grief.

To my surprise, I was pulled roughly into a very vivid vision.

“We’ll hit the town in Phoenix next. I need to visit a certain mother.” Bella hissed to Edward who was standing protectively next to her. He started kissing her neck.

“What about that Alice Cullen? Won’t she come after you?” Bella growled.

“Let her come, we’ll see who the strongest is then.”

I sobbed loudly.

“Bella and Edward are going to Phoenix.” I announced. Nobody moved; nobody wanted to do the job. And I knew deep in my heart that I would have to do it.

I sat there trying my hardest to find the courage inside of me.

“Right, I’m going. I don’t want anyone to follow me. This will all be over soon.” I said mostly to myself. Carlisle was about to protest but I cut him off.

“Please, this is something I have to do,” They all nodded and before I left, I glared at Aro. “I hope you’re happy.”

I left the house with a heavy heart, the deed that I have to do weighing on my shoulders. I took a deep breath and flitted towards Forks where I had seen Bella and Edward in the vision. I got there in less than 2 minutes and I wish I hadn’t. When I arrived, I was greeted with a devastated town. Buildings were on fire, the forest was on fire, there were drained people lying dead on the floor and some people were writhing in agony; I knew their process had just started. I stared with shock and grief, almost in denial that my sweet Bella would do such a thing.

I looked around confused; Bella should be here. This was exactly where I saw her in my vision. I suddenly heard a chuckle behind me and I whipped around to see Bella standing there with a smirk on her face. Her eyes were such a dark red that I winced looking at them. She was beautiful, but extremely scary. This was not Bella Swan. This was an evil version of her. Bella Swan wasn’t here. Bella Swan died with the disease and left this monster in her wake.

“Bella-” I said walking forwards but I was cut off by Edward who suddenly appeared beside me, holding my arms tightly.

“You won’t win Alice,” She said, I shuddered when she said my name. “Soon the whole world will be infected and there is nothing you’ll be able to do to stop it.” In that moment I almost believed her. It looked hopeless and I was at a loss of what to do next. Edwards’ grip tightened and I winced as his fingers dug into my skin.

“I killed Jane! I can kill you too.” I growled, putting on a bravado I did not feel. She stopped and stared at me; still as a statue.

“J-Jane?” She finally stuttered, seemingly confused. She must have known that Jane was her creator. Her face suddenly hardened and anger so great, so evil filled her face. Fear gripped my veins and I started shaking. I had never been so scared in my life.

“You killed Jane!” She shouted loudly. “Now I’m really going to kill you.” She snarled and advanced forward, knocking Edward away from me. My arms were now free and I dodged out of the way as Bella made her first move. I couldn’t help smiling. I knew Bella so well; I could predict exactly what she was going to do. She growled again as she must have taken my smiling as taunting her. She flew at me with surprising speeds, catching me off guard as she knocked us both down on the floor. Her hands were around my neck. It seems I’ve been in this position a lot lately. Her red eyes searched my golden ones and I tried to tell her with my eyes how much I loved her. Something flashed across her face but it was gone in a second.

“Bella!” Edward suddenly called, his voice strangled. We both whipped our heads towards him and saw to my surprise Jacob Black in his wolf form, dragging Edward away with his teeth. “Bella help me!” Bella looked torn as she glanced from me to him. She was choosing; just like when she was human. She made her decision and ignored him which was her first mistake. I flipped her over so I was on top. She bared her teeth at me as I held her down, barely keeping her there.

“You won’t do it,” She hissed. “You’re too weak.” I shook my head sadly at her. I stared into her eyes intently and leaned down. She stopped flailing under me and froze. I kissed her lips softly and she shuddered, trying to bite me. I felt a stinging sensation in my eyes and realised my body was trying to cry. Grief was over taking me and I couldn’t do this anymore.

“I’m so sorry Bella, for everything.” I whispered and I wrapped my hands around her neck and quickly twisted, hearing her strangled cry and then she was gone. I let out a howl of misery and sobbed over her body, whispering, “I love you,” over and over again.

She was gone.

The love of my life was dead.

And it was my fault.

I felt strong hands gripping my shoulders but I was so shocked at what I had done I just sat there, letting the person pick me up. I looked up and saw Carlisle’s grim, handsome face. All around me my family were sorting out the infected.

“She’s gone, my angel is gone.” I said. Carlisle nodded.

“It’s all over.”

I nodded but I knew I’d never be able to get over this. My other half had been ripped away from me.

How was I supposed to go on?

I touched my lips, feeling Bella lingering on my skin.

Our last kiss.
