(A/N: I hope you like this, it's not very exciting, sorry for that. :L Anyway, enjoy!)

I went home feeling restless and unsatisfied as I thought more and more of the Cullen's and, most importantly, Alice. They intrigued me so much that I couldn't get them off my mind, even when I was sitting down eating dinner that I had cooked for dad and I to eat.

"Hey, Bells? You okay? Did you have a good day?"

"Yeah, it was an interesting day to say the least." It was silent for a couple of minutes before I decided to jump and ask him about the Cullen's. "So dad, do you know the Cullen's?"

A strange expression came over his face at the mention of their name.

"Yes, I do know the Cullen's. Dr Cullen is a great man. He's very nice and an amazing surgeon," he said while shovelling in some more potato.

"Where are they from?" I asked curiously.

"Alaska," he mumbled. "Mustn't like the heat." More silence passed as I mulled it over. "Why all the questions, Bells?"

"Oh, I just saw them today and they are very," I hesitated. "Attractive."

Charlie snorted at the understatement and we finished our dinner, him moving towards the TV to watch football and me towards my room where I could think in peace.

I got to my room and collapsed on the double bed, physically and mentally exhausted, images of Alice and the Cullen's zooming around in my brain. Before I fell asleep, I made a mental promise to get to know them.

That night I dreamt of Alice Cullen.

I woke up early in the morning to a note on the kitchen table telling me Charlie had gone fishing with some of his mates living on the reserve. I remembered once when I was very young, that I used to play with a boy called Jacob Black. I wondered what happened to him.

I finished my breakfast, had a shower, and got into my truck to drive to school. It had been snowing overnight and I swore it was below zero degrees. I was freezing and the roads were slippery. It was a good job I was a capable driver otherwise I'd probably have ended up in a ditch.

I finally got to school; it took me ten more minutes than it usually did because I was being careful, and I parked my car in the same spot as I did yesterday. I sat in my car for a while just staring out at the parking lot. I realised that most of the cars were old and not that spectacular until I came across a silver Volvo next to a huge, red BMW. I immediately knew that those cars belonged to the Cullen's. They had rich, beautiful people written all over them.

I stared with jealousy, imagining my truck eating those cars, until I heard a knock on my window, making me jump ten feet into the air. I stared out the window, and speaking of the devil, it was Alice Cullen in all of her beauty. She was staring at me, looking slightly agitated. It took me a while to realise that she was talking to me. Embarrassedly, I got out of the car and leaned against the door, because I swore I would faint if I didn't have anything to hold onto. I swallowed nervously and she smiled slightly.

"Isabella Swan?" she asked, her voice a beautiful sound making my heart lurch up into my throat.

"Bella; y-yes," I stammered, probably making a fool of myself. She hid another smile. I realised she was leaning away from me slightly and her eyes were darker than they were yesterday. I frowned slightly. That was weird.

"Bella, of course. You need to go to the office. They are doing blood tests today and they need to know what blood type you are."

Her tone was edgy whenever she said the word blood. Blood tests? I hated blood, the smell, the colour, everything about it. I shuddered mentally.
