Hey, so this isn't really a chapter. It's something I came up with on the spot, Bc I couldn't get the chapter I promised to get up by today up, but I felt bad and wanted to give you guys something, so here's a small filler to get us by. I'm sorry, but this week has been hectic, so I hope you enjoy this, at least.

{Pete's POV}

It was 7:00 the following night. Brendon and Ryan had gone back to their house a few hours before. I was seated in the armchair in the living room, unable to sleep, while Patrick was sleeping quietly in his room upstairs. He'd wake up soon. I was nervous, but I had plans to sit down with him and have a serious talk about what was going on with him. It needed to be discussed.

I froze, hearing footsteps upstairs. I heard a door close, and turned as Patrick came down the stairs, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Oh. H-Hey, Pete." He stuttered, jumping a bit as he noticed me there.

"Hey, 'Trick. Come here." I said, gesturing to the couch across from me. Slowly, he took a seat on the couch, then let out a deep breath.

"I know...I know Vaughn k-killed D-Dr. Way." He said shakily, avoiding my gaze.

"What do you mean?" I asked, horrified that he had found out? Had he heard me talking to Ryan the other day?

"He told me. He said he was a...a threat to us both, and he killed Gerard to keep us safe." Patrick explained, a small tear escaping his eye.

"Hey, it's OK, 'Trick. It's OK." I said. He simply shook his head.

     "So, what's up?" He wondered.

"I...I wanted to ask what's been going on with you lately. You've been acting weird, and then Vaughn taking over and running out yesterday? That was the final straw, 'Trick. You've been avoiding all of us, keeping secrets, and it's making me nervous. Just, please...tell me what's going on." I begged, kneeling in front of him to look him in the eye. He refused to meet mine, though.

"N-Nothing." He said quietly. His breathing was shaky, and his head was lowered. I couldn't see his face.

"Patrick, please stop lying to me! I know something is wrong. Please, please stop lying to me and just tell me. What's going on?" I asked again, leaning in a bit closer and setting my hand on his chin. He pulled away as I tried to lift his head up. "Patrick." I said, moving to turn his head again.

"N-No...don't...don't hurt him. P-Please." He whispered.

"Patrick, what are you talking about? I'm not gonna hurt anyone. Patrick, look at me, please!" I said, moving my hand towards him again. Suddenly, with a quick flash, his hand slapped mine away, before swinging back around and pushing me to the floor. I hit my back off the floor roughly, groaning as I looked up at Patrick. He stood above me, eyes burning yellow.

"Vaughn! Stop!" I said, scooting away a little.

"You are a threat to us, and must be taken down." He said, inching closer, his eyes murderous and fangs extended.

"Vaughn, listen to me! I'm not going to hurt you guys. Cut it out!" I pleaded, watching in terror as he stepped closer, mere inches between us. In one swift move, he picked me up by the collar of my shirt, and threw me. I hit the wall behind me, and slid to the floor. The last thing I saw was two dark shadows above me.

So, like I said, very short. I hope you guys enjoyed it nonetheless. If you did, a vote/comment would be greatly appreciated.

So, hopefully things this week should be a little less hectic, I'll get to the next chapter sooner than I did this one. I can't promise anything, but I'll definitely try.

That is it! As always, thank you for reading. Later! ;)
