Of the young energetic girl that had been joyfully flourishing
Who ended up with no friends, hobbies, self respect or an interest
My personality vanished from sight
And everything was controlled by them
No bursting feelings of happiness or delight
Because they just had to take them all away too
I thought the girl who used to be me was gone
The one that got forced away
That she gave up, had enough and was done
Because she wanted everything to again be okay
I never forgot who I used to be
As I look into my empty eyes everyday
I never forget how it felt to be free
Before I got betrayed
The poor girl is in a cage
That is covered with strong bars in my mind
She is the one interested in animals and the ice age
She is the one that dances in the rain and strives to be kind
She waited patiently unfazed
As if she was waiting for me to let her out
And she herself is amazed
Because she has never been in doubt
She is waiting for the day
She could be let out and be free
She is the only one to stay
The only one who refuses to give up on me
She shined her light on my dark mind
So I could see flashes of a different life
Memories that had been combined
Even her dreams to one day be a midwife
They were all just memories though
But I won't lose my small hope I found not long ago
As the emptiness inside me somehow has been overthrown
I now want to do the impossible and escape and be free
It's because I found out that I was never alone
She had always been there and believed in me

Umm...that felt like the most emotionless poem I have written so far but never mind. Thank you to everyone who has read my poems as it means a lot to a desperate piglet like me. And I just realised how much I have learned since the beginning even though its not much. Thanx to everyone, especially my friends for the support. 😊
