Full of Innocence

When I first met you

I gave you my heart

Willingly, too

But you tore it apart

Like it was a piece of paper

You had made it grey

My heart  is not crappy old newspaper

That you can just throw it away

But I was naive back then

Full of innocence

How I wish I could relive those moments again

To see the places and enjoy its simpleness

But I can't turn back time

And I know meeting you

Will haunt me for the rest of my life time

But don't forget, it was your fault too

When I did give you my heart

You played with it

And when I fought to get it back

You instead launched a surprise attack

And now I have the power to break you

But I realised I learnt a few things or two

I had always wanted to be mature

And now I am for sure

Because being mature is not destroying you or having power, too

But instead just walking away so life and karma can decide what to do with you

Is it just me or am I actually writing longer poems than before? But I am trying to be more descriptive which is going to make the poems longer. I have tried not to put a specific gender in for example this poem can be from both a guy or girls point of view or whatever but I am not sure how a guy thinks so sos about that. You don't know how many times I wrote a part of a poem in a  girls or guys point of view than had to delete it and start all over again. 😅 Hope u have a good day!!!
