Steph's POV
I told Stephen to go to his parents with Amelia for a while seeing as they haven't seen each other in a while. He was reluctant at first but gave in and they left the house a while ago and I came straight here.

I was discharged about two weeks ago but I've hardly left yet. I'm in Rachel's room, sitting across from her, staring at her intensely just to make sure I wouldn't miss a movement. If it were to happen.

I leaned forward and reached for her hand and took it in mine. I bit down on my lip, hard, to prevent it from quivering. I took a deep breath and slowly stood up and sat on the edge of her bed. I reached up and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and rubbed her cheek softly.

Rachel's POV
I watched as mama tried her hardest trying not to cry and it killed me. She leaned forward and kissed my forehead softly and stood up.

"Mama."

She stopped and looked back at me. I felt the lump in my throat grow bigger by the second.

"Mama, what do I do?"

She sat back down on the chair and wrapped her hands around mine. I stood on the opposite of the bed and watched as she finally let herself break down. It killed me to see her this way when I'm hopeless."

"It sucks when you know that you need to let go, but you can't, because you're still waiting for the impossible to happen. I want you to live Rachel. I want you to fight like hell and stay with us but it's okay if you want to go. Everyone wants you to stay. I want you to stay more that I've ever wanted to in my life. But that's what I want and I could see why it might not be what you want. So I just wanted to tell you that I understand if you go."

She buried her head against my side and broke down crying. I slowly reached over and put my hand on hers and she looked up towards me and I froze.

"Mama?"

All of a sudden my heart beat began to fasten and the heart monitors began to  increase. Mama looked at them and then back at me and everything began to fade into a bright white light.

Then everything went black.

I felt pain take over my body but I could handle it. I felt mama's hands on mine and I used all of my might to squeeze her hand. I slowly opened my eyes and saw mama standing and looking at me as she ran her hands through my hair. I smiled slight at her and she chuckled softly and leaned forward and kissed my forehead.

"Hi mama."
"Hiya babe."

The door opened and I heard a scream and slowly turned my head to see mom. She dropped the teddy bear she was holding and I smiled softly at her. She came rushing to my side and took my hand in hers. She sat on the edge of my bed and leaned forward and hugged me. I rubbed her back softly and kissed her temple.

"Hi mom."
"You had me worried sick. I'm so glad you're okay."

She pulled away but I cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears away with my thumbs. She chuckled softly and leaned forward and kissed my forehead.

She sat down on the other chair next to my bed and her and mama began talking as the doctor came in to do a check up. After he was done and walked out, the door opened again and Zach and Jules walked in.

Julie stood in shock and immediately started crying. She ran to my side and practically jumped onto me and I held her tight as she cried. I looked over and Zach and he walked over too and kissed my cheek before going to talk with mom and mama.

I kissed the top of Julie's head as she lied on top of me with her head buried in my chest. I rubbed her back softly as she clung onto me tightly.

"How're you feeling kid?"
"I'm fine. A little sore but I'll be grand."

Zach chuckled and sat at the edge of my bed. He and Julie stayed for another hour or so and so did mom and mama but I ended up making them leave so they could get some rest.

Just as I was about to fall asleep the door opened. I opened my eyes to see Lucy and I smiled sadly at her. She shut the door behind her and walked over to me. She looked at me intensely.

"I love you. Don't ever do that to me again."
"I love you too."

She leaned down and pressed her lips to mine. I kissed her back softly and then she pulled away but kept our foreheads together. I scooter over in the bed and motioned for her to get on and she did. I wrapped both my arms around her and held her close as she rested her head on my chest.

I began to run my fingers through her hair and kissed the top of her head every so often. I moved down a little in the bed so I was eye level with her and she smiled. She tucked loose strand of hair behind my ear and kissed the top of my nose.

"How're the babies?"
"They're great. I didn't tell Jack that you were awake yet but Jill and Megan are bringing him and Bree by in an hour so I can have some alone time with you."
"Keeping me to yourself, huh Bronze?"
"Yup. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to do this."

She put her hand on my cheek and stroked it softly while looking between both my eyes. I smiled and leaned forward and captured her lips in my carefully and kissed her with all the love and passion I could show her and she smiled into the kiss.

She pulled away and pecked my lips again before wrapping both her arms around me and sitting up a little. She began to draw patterns on the small of my back where the whole in the gown was and I smiled softly.

"Get some rest love, before the kids come in. Don't want you falling asleep on them."
"Stay with me?"
"Oh I'm never letting you leave me side again. Not for another while at least."

I chuckled softly and snuggled closer into her and she held me tight. Every few minutes I would feel her kiss the top of my head or tell me she loves me, thinking I was asleep.

I eventually did end up fall asleep only to awoken by small hands hitting my face. I opened one of my eyes to see Jack sitting on my torso, with his head tilted sideways, poking my face. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Hi mommy."
"Hiya little man. I missed you."
"I missed you too mommy."

He leaned his head against my chest and I held him close. I heard gurgling noises coming from beside me and turned my head to see Bree in Lucy's arms looking up at her. I smiled at the sight and Lucy noticed I was awake and smiled.

She wrapped her free arm around my and held me close as she held Bree with the other. Bree looked at me and smiled widely. I smiled back at her and rubbed her cheek softly with my free hand.

"Hi baby girl."

After a while we were all watching tv. Jack in my arms and I rubbed his back softly. Lucy's arm around me and lying next to me with Bree in her other arm. We all stayed put and watched tv in peace. Every now and the I'd kiss Jack's head and Lucy would kiss my temple. Eventually, both Jack and I, fell asleep.
