"Oh come on hazel it will be fun , I promise." He did his puppy dog face and I couldn't resist. I rolled my eyes and agreed with a nod.
He cheered , picked me up , spun me around , then awkwardly put me down , while whispering a sorry.
In that moment , I realized , I had a slight crush on my sisters boyfriend.

Riding on my bright blue penny board was my only escape. I could clear my mind of all thoughts just riding and listening to my music. The two songs that kept playing on replay were Ordinary and High you are {branchez remix}.
All I had been thinking about for the past hour was Calum.
"I can't like him , at all. He's Ashley's." I kept repeating to myself.
"I can't li.."
I was stopped mid sentence when my wheel got stuck under a rock and I was flung off.
"Shit, really god, really. Now!" I yelled at the sky. I wasn't bleeding much but my knee did hurt a lot.
"Hey! Are you okay Hazel?" My neighbor Austin yelled, running over to me.
"Yeah, uh thanks Austin" I blushed, but ended up hissing in pain as I tried to walk.
"Let me help you, I can carry you home if you want"
"You really don't have to.." I tried reasoning with him.
"Hazel just let me help you." He interrupted.
"Okay." I bowed my head as a smile crept on my face.
I let Austin pick me up and he was slowly walking. He is well built, tan, has sparkling blue eyes and is really tall. He made me seem to small, and I might have a crush on him ..but nothing big. At least he actually doesn't have a girl friend , thinking about these things, I didn't even realize we made it home and he was carrying me up to my room.
"Oh hello Hazel, Austin, what are you doing here?" My sister stood in the doorway batting her eye lashes , trying to flirt with him I presume. Austin looked a little uncomfortable and I felt bad but decided to leave anyways. I rolled my eyes at her and told Austin I was fine to walk the few steps to my room. They talked for a while but I blocked them out when I shut the door to my room.
Once I was comfortable on my bed I picked up my phone and began to text my friend Alex. Alex and I use to hate each other but now were the closet of friends. She's dating Ashton, one of mine and Calum's friends. I don't know how it happened but our love for adventures brought us together, I think.

"You doing anything today?"
"Hazel?"
"Please say you didn't die"
"Knowing you, you probably just left you're phone in a random bathroom again or at the park."
"Alex, shut up, I was just penny boarding and I didn't bring my phone."
"Okay good, can you hang out?"
I was contemplating because I wanted to go to the beach but I didn't want to go out and be all scratched up.
"No sorry , I'm staying home, but I'm kind of not up for company today , rain check?"
"You okay? & sure"
"I'm fine, just tired"
"Gotta go charge my phone" I lied "love ya."
"Adios Chica." And with that I set my phone back down on the bed.
"I guess I have to now go tell Calum I won't be going." I said to myself coming out almost like a whisper.
As I walked down the stairs it was almost safe to say I got down safe, but of course not.
As my knee buckled and I fell, closed my eyes and was ready for impact, but never felt it.
All I felt were two arms wrapped around my waist.
"Now we don't want you to get even more hurt do we?" Calum grinned trying to lighten the mood as he steadied me.
"How did you kn.." Calum interrupted me once again.
"Ashley told me what happened before she left to go get some movies from the store" Calum interrupted me.
"You just love interruting me, you don..."
"Of course I do hazel!" he cheered sarcastically while flailing his arms.
I laughed but then realized,
"Wait why aren't you guys going to the beach?"
"Oh we uh, I just thought, well we could all hang and I knew you wouldn't want to go to the beach so I changed the plans" he smiled triumphantly.
"Well then let's go get ready for Ashley to come back, I'll make the popcorn."
I smiled and pushed him slightly making him almost trip
"You're lucky you're hurt." He admitted.
"Yeah whatever Cal." I chuckled

I didn't really realize till the end that hazel falls a lot in this chapter...a new guy, some figurative reasons...
NEXT CHAPTER IS TOTALLY BETTER AND LONGER I PROMISE PLEASE STICK AROUND. THERE IS LOTS OF DRAMA AND IM EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS TO SEE IT.
