He may prize himself as the strong, silent type, able to handle anything, his brawn willing to meet any challenge his brain can imagine. He believes he can do it ALL on his own because it's what a farmer does. Or is it?

The Law of Attraction suggests if you think and say "I need..." too often, you'll continue to need it rather than actually get what you most fervently want. In the case of our bachelor farmer, it's too often the truth, due to the span and depth and breadth of his needs. He is usually the last to recognise this, or have the wherewithal to achieve his dreams.

Perhaps he could start by trying to think along the lines of 'my partner will be... ', and envisage the successful 'Jill of all trades" - a multi-talented, multi-skilled and multi-functional wife, mother and mistress too - as well as being his partner and helpmate.

Farming presents never-ending peaks and troughs - emotionally, physically and financially. Most farm wives become full legal partners - not only by marriage, but also, in order to halve the taxation debt.... IF a good year should happen. Then, being equal and legal business partners, they will share the 'wealth', AND the taxation bill this delightful (if rare) situation attracts.

She will also share the worries and fears (and the blood, sweat and tears) of the countless 'no-gain' years...but come to think of it, why not? The good Lord knows she shares the workload, whichever way the finances and fortunes of farming swing - up or down.

And guess how I know these home-truths? Been there, done that - for over four decades, after hubby and I actually chose to become farmers. Opportunity knocked, and we closed the door to our city lives and jobs - and opened the door to farm life. The mystery in our case is how the Law of Attraction drew us to each other way before we chose farming and way before we had the faintest idea of what would be required of us both in the years ahead. To this day, we are still on the land, now as retirees - so you see, it is all survivable. In fact, most of us far prefer the adjectives 'unmissable' and 'amazing'.

An outstanding feature of women of the land, is their incredible level of job satisfaction. Hang around long enough and the virtues of patience, tolerance, perseverance develop and thrive - along with the ability to make the most amazing and creative compromises.

Think you have what it takes for the Law of Attraction to work for you? Ready for the challenges of fresh, clean air (especially on a cold crisp early morning); the peace and the quiet (except for 10,000 birds singing at first light, every morning)?; the 24/7 workload? How about the ability to 'shelve' the best made plans for long anticipated events at a moment's notice? And do it with good grace?

Good Luck! You'll need it. Excepting of course, if you are one of the besotted breed like myself who embraced it -lock, stock and barrel - and simply wouldn't swap it for the world.
