A new day, the base is almost finished, Silver had been at work the whole night. Shadow and I have a new mission.
"Around midnight, you break into Eggman's lab. You need to find the a blue bomb, looks like this." Rouge said, handing me a picture. The bomb was fully blue, with one grey strap around it. "It's powerful, according to this guy here-" Rouge said as she pointed at the man that we caught yesterday. "Eggman is going to drop it on us."
"Got it, you don't have to worry about anything." I said.
"I suggest you two get some rest... Sorry Shadow, your room is not yet finished, you'll have to stay with someone." Rouge said.
"I'll stay with Amy." Shadow insisted. What? You would think Shadow would go with Mephiles or another one of his close male friends... I would've never expected Shadow to choose me straight off the bat.
"Ok..." I agreed. Shadow and I both walked to my room, I opened the door to find Sonic sitting on my bed, Shadow was behind me so Sonic didn't see him.
"Amy, I need to talk to you." Sonic said. I turned around to talk to Shadow, but he was gone, I turned back to Sonic and to my surprise, Shadow was behind him in the corner. Shadow put his hand to his mouth, telling me to shush.
"Sure..." I replied, trying not to chuckle, I grabbed a chair and sat in-front of Sonic.
"So... Sally wants me to marry her... I said I'll give her an answer later. The thing is Amy, I don't want to marry her." Sonic said.
"Why's that? You've dated her for so long, ten years!" I argued. Sonic's eyes pointed at me, confused.
"You want me to marry her?" Sonic asked.
"It's your choice, Sonic." I said. He grabbed my hand.
"I'm thinking of breaking up with Sally." Sonic finally spoke. Shock hit me in the face, my mouth was wide open, I could see from the corner of my eye that Shadow raised an eye-brow.
"Why?" I asked frantically.
"I just don't feel that bond we had before... I... I have feelings for someone else now." Sonic smiled as his eyes met mine.
"Who?" I asked quietly.
"Amy... You've changed, you've made me more... attracted to you." Sonic said, my face was flushed. Shadow's face suddenly turned furiously angry for some reason.
"What-" I was about to say, Sonic had pulled me in, kissing me on the lips. Shadow's eyes had turned red, not the normal eye colour he has, but, somehow, a more devilish red. Shadow came out of the corner, exposing himself to Sonic.
"What are you doing in here Shadow?" Sonic asked, somewhat calmly. I twitched, I grabbed Sonic and threw him out of my room and closed the door. I turned to Shadow, he was mad... I can tell.
"I'm so sorry, Shadow." I said. Shadow shook his head.
"It's fine, it's nice to know that you're not into Sonic." Shadow said quietly.
"Why's that?" Shadow flinched.
"No reason." Shadow said, laying on my bed.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"You heard Rouge, we infiltrate Eggman's lab, midnight, tonight. We should sleep while we can." Shadow said. I grabbed an extra blanket, I will sleep on the floor. "You don't have to, I'll sleep on the floor." Shadow suggested.
"No, you're still adapting, getting your strength back, you're sleeping on the bed." I argued. Shadow grabbed my hand, and dragged me onto the bed with him.
"I won't let you sleep on the floor." Shadow said seriously. I blushed slightly. "But, if you don't want to sleep with me that much-" Shadow smirked.
"It's fine!" I yelled flustered. I gave Shadow some space on the bed, I was on the edge of the bed. Even when I was on the edge of the bed, I still dreamed...
"Happy birthday, Amy." Shadow said as he presented a pink rose.
"You didn't have to Shadow..." I said smiling.
"I wanted too... I grew the rose myself, it reminded me of you." Shadow said, hiding his face.
"Thank you!" I yelled, tackling Shadow.
