I rushed down the hallway, desperate to not be late to my math class. Mrs. Grady already gave me detention yesterday because I had been 'tardy'. It's not my fault me locker is on the other side of the school. I scowled, thinking of the situation again.

Mrs. Grady doesn't know what she's talking about. Pft, detention my ass. The bell rang just as I entered the hallway that held her room. I sighed, slowing down my pace and made my way into the room, ready for the detention I was about to get.

"Miss. Likin, how nice of you to join us."

"Mrs. Grady, I'm only a couple secon-"

"Detention," She cut me off with the one word, handing me a slip.

I sighed, sulking to my seat. I sat down, glaring at the floor.

The day quickly went by and it was finally time for detention. I went to my locker before heading to the classroom where it was being held.

Entering the room, I quickly took a seat in the back. I set my bag on the floor and took out my math homework to pace by the time. People started walking through the door for their punishment of extreme boredom.

I kept my eyes on my paper, aware of the footsteps that got closer to me. Someone took a seat right next to mine.

"Alright, now that everyone is here, welcome to detention. Here are some rules: no talking, no eating, no getting up, and no leaving till it's over. Got it? Good," the familiar voice of the gym teacher rang through my ears.

After a couple minutes, I had finished my math homework (which was really just me guessing on every problem). Slouching back in my seat, I felt someone poke my side.

I turned my head immediately, only to see Jade Niel, one of my friends. Jade had pin straight black hair, with captivating green eyes. Once you stared into them, it's like you're lost in them forever. Her body was anything but frail, she was known for her muscles. Jade was buff but not a body builder, she still had this sort of innocent aroma around her, even though we know she's been through hell and back. She was beautiful, and she knew it too, she wasn't afraid to show it off with tight yet modest clothing. Jade was no whore but she did know how to catch the boy's attention. We weren't too close or anything but we were friendly enough to talk.

I glared at her hand, "Take that finger and stick it up your ass."

She laughed, and I shushed her quickly, not wanting to get yelled at. She shook her head quietly laughing.

"God, you're such a newbie. Mia, Coach is already asleep and let me tell you he's a heavy sleeper," she stated as I moved my eyes toward coach only to find his head down and light snores coming out of his mouth, confirming what Jade had said.

I rolled my eyes and laughed quietly, "Whatever."

Pulling out my phone from the back pocket of my black ripped skinny jeans, I saw a message from my stranger. I immediately smiled and read it.

Heyy.

Whats up nerd?

Hey I'm not a nerd :/

Minutes passed and I still didn't get a text from him. I sighed, putting my phone face down on the table.

"Trouble in paradise?" Jade leaned towards me, her eyes begging for information.

"Excuse me?" I questioned.

"Well the whole time, you were on your phone and smiling like an idiot with a few giggles here and there. Who's the boy and why the sigh?" She stated before asking her question.

"It's no one."

"You sure bout that? You keep glancing at your phone," Jade pointed out.

I didn't even notice that I had been gazing toward my phone every few seconds.

"Yes, I'm sure." I shut down her questions that she continued to ask. She finally leaned back in her chair, shutting up.

Smiling in satisfaction, the hour was finally up and I ran out of the room. I was definitely done with the day. I frowned looking for my moms car. Then my phone buzzed, telling me I received a text. Immediately, a smile broke onto my face as I saw it was from him.

You're the weirdo

Well your personality sure doesn't back up that statement

WHY ARE WE TALKING IN CAPS?

IDK LETS STOP NOW

OK

Looking up from my phone while smiling at our immaturity, I heard a beep and saw my mom's car pull up right in front of me.

Hey I'll text you later, gtg

Aw :( ok lmk when you can text again

I got inside the car with a huge smile on my face. I love how much he cares, like he wants to text me. We've been talking so much that I can't even remember a time where I wasn't texting him all through out the day

"Your smile is scaring me. Why so happy?" My mom spoke, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Do I need a reason to be happy?" I raised and eyebrow while chuckling.

"Well.. I guess not, continue on then," She replied.

I laughed a bit and looked out the window, wondering who this guy could possibly be. I will find out who it is, no matter what it takes. I'll make sure of it.

And chapter four is finished. Let's just take a moment and appreciate the cuteness between Mia and the stranger :)

Let me just ask a question real quick: If you're listening to music while your read this right now, what song are you listening to?

Answer: Well, a variety of songs were playing while I wrote this chapter but right now, DNA by BTS is playing :)
