Omen

Sneaking in

After Omen rested for about half an hour he got up and snuck out of the facility and into open air. It was a Saturday, if the little heroes actually went to school then they would have today off. He found out their identities first, he already knew Robin's but he wouldn't reveal the little bird's identity.

He wouldn't reveal any of their identities but it was good to know them since he didn't like not knowing something. Now that he had that done he could go visit the little heroes and see what they were up to. Of course he needed to actually get to Mt. Justice, which was on the other side of the country.

Good thing Omen had some tricks up his sleeve! Not even his suppressors, formally known as the GIW and now called The White Organization. Personally, Omen would have gone with a cooler or scarier name but he wasn't in charge, he was just the lab rat. Now back to Omen's magic trick!

Omen had been shown a picture of the mountain, he focused on the image and when he opened his eyes it was right in front of him. Omen smiled as he snuck into the mountain and hacked into all of their systems so they wouldn't know he was there. He even hacked into the zeta tubes just in case, it was always good to have several plans of escape.

Now to find the kids, that was probably going to be the most difficult part of his plan to say hello. Omen then realized that his wounds were bleeding, it was a good thing that he hadn't gone inside yet. Omen went to a nearly pharmacy and grabbed some medical supplies before slipping some money in the cash register.

Omen found a place to hide and he took care of his wounds before making his way back to Mt. Justice. This time he actually snuck in and he soon found the team in a room that seemed to be the living room/kitchen area. They were all talking, Omen immediately realized that they were talking about him, rude.

They were talking about him behind his back, well he had killed people in front of them more than once. It was still rude, and a bit careless, you never know who's listening after all, well he was listening right now but that's not the point. Then Omen heard the perfect sentence, they were just asking for him to show up at this point.

Kid Flash had said, "It's kind of creepy when he laughs and the lights flicker before he shows up." Omen laughed eerily and everyone looked around before Kid Flash looked slightly annoyed. "Okay guys stop messing with me."

Aqualad shook his head, "I had nothing to do with this." Superboy shook his head to show that he hadn't done it.

Megan looked slightly freaked out, "It wasn't me."

Artemis shrugged, "I didn't do it."

Everyone looked at Robin, "Don't look at me." Omen laughed again before he made the lights flicker as he moved around the room like figures would in horror movies. When the lights stopped flickering he was sitting on a pipe that seemed a bit to low but Omen wasn't complaining.

The team stared at him and Omen's face was neutral, "It's rude to talk about someone behind their back you know?"

No one said anything for a second, Superboy was the first to get over his shock, "How did you get in here?"

Omen didn't move an inch, "Temper Superboy." Omen jumped off of the pipe and landed on the ground without a sound, it reminded Robin of his friend. Omen could see the recognition even though the little birds eyes were hidden behind his mask. Omen pretended not to notice, "I'm not here to hurt anyone, I'm just curious as to how you showed up at two of my jobs."

Artemis looked angry, "How do we know you don't want to kill us?"

Omen rolled his eyes, "If I was going to you'd already be dead." Not to mention the fact that he doesn't kill the innocent, he only killed criminals, it was his rule.

Artemis's eyes narrowed but Megan cut in before she could talk, "But your a killer."

Omen shrugged with his gloved hands in his pockets, "That doesn't mean I'll kill everyone I see."

Aqualad took a step towards him, "How did you know where to find us?"

"Anyone that isn't an idiot can find you, now tell me why you showed up at two of my jobs."

Aqualad hesitated for a moment, "We were on a mission during those times, now it's your turn to answer a question."

"I've already answered several questions but I'm feeling generous so I'll answer three questions. Choose your questions wisely."

Aqualad looked at Omen seriously, "Who are you?"

"My name is Omen, I'm an assassin."

Kid Flash had a curious look in his eyes, "How did you become an assassin?" Artemis hit him on the back of the head and Omen would have laughed.

Omen's eyes glazed over a bit but they cleared up quickly, not before the team noticed though. "It's a long story to tell and I don't have the time to tell it at the moment."

Kid Flash huffed, "You said you'd answer our questions."

"I said I'd answer them not that I'd tell you the actual answer."

Everyone started thinking for a moment before Robin finally spoke, "Why didn't you kill me?" Everyone was shocked but Omen had a wistful look in his eyes, no one but Robin saw him smile just a little.

"Maybe you'll be able to figure out the reason little bird." The look in Omen's eyes, as well as the small smile, was gone now but Robin had still seen it. Danny had said that exact same thing the last time he saw him, Robin felt like it wasn't a coincidence. Before anyone could say anything else the zeta tubes announced the arrival of Black Canary.

Omen shifted his weight to his left leg, "Well it's been fun but that's my cue to leave, until next time." The lights flickered and Omen was gone in the blink of an eye.
