"I can't believe we're doing this." I breathe out as Harry drags me out of the front door. We're going over the road to have dinner with our new neighbours. This is the worst idea ever, I'm not going to be able to look josh in the eye, knowing what we've done to Zac. Feeling this guilt eating my insides every time his name is mentioned. I know it was the only way we could really be free, me and harry. But some days it doesn't feel like we're free at all. Yeah we're together, but I can't shake of this horrible guilt that's eating me up, it's taking over and I can't shake it off.
"Babe, if we don't go they'll start to question us, we can't have that. Just forget about Zac, try to treat them like they're just our new neighbours." It bugs me that he's right, we have to act normal. He's so good at it, I just wish I knew how he did it. All those years he's pretended to be someone he's not, I guess that's how.
We knock on the door and my heart starts beating out of my chest, id he surprised if harry can't hear it right now. "Relax." He whispers, holding onto my hand gently. I close my eyes and breathe in and out. As i open them I see two people standing on the other side of the door, which is now open. Josh, and a pretty blonde, I'm guessing is Nicole.
"Hey! Come on in!" Josh cheers, moving aside so me and harry can walk in.
"Wow, you have a lovely place here." Harry charms his way in already. I look at him and fall in love all over again. He really is an amazing man. That gives me hope, if I can still see Harry as the amazing man he is, then there's hope that one day I'll be able to get past what I've done and be truly be happy within myself again.
"Thank you. It's so lovely to finally meet you both." Nicole smiles sweetly. "Come on in to the kitchen, what can I get you to drink?" She asks politely.
"Tea would be lovely." I smile. Harry sits down at the table next to be , giving me a discrete wink. Letting me know I'm doing it perfect.
"A beer harry?" Josh asks, taking two out of the fridge.
"Perfect." Harry grins, taking one from him.
"What you cooking, it smells amazing." He grins.
"Sephard's pie."
"Yum." I chuckle, looking from harry to nicole.
