Life as a young girl for me was a time of insecurity and pain. My mother was neglectful and my father was nonexistent.
Life with my mother was a living hell. She got pregnant with me when she was fifteenth and got kicked out because it. The life she was forced to endure was apparently all my fault because every chance she got, she told me that I'm the reason why she never become all she wanted to be.
The mental abuse was something that I could handle but the morning of my seventeenth birthday changed me forever.
I woke up to see a man that I had seen around the house before, standing over me. Immediate fear took over my body as I pulled my knees to my chest and said "What.. what are you doing in here?"
"I came to wish you a happy birthday sweetheart." The mystery man said. His voice was so deep that it felt as if the walls started to rumble. His eyes became low and they turnt a dark husky color. He rubbed his ashy hands together and gave a small smirk before climbing in bed and hovering over me. "Relax babygirl I won't hurt you."
"Please don't do this to me. I'll do whatever else you want just please don't make me do this."
He ignored my pleas as he unbuckled his pants and thrust himself inside me. "Fuck" he groaned out as he forcefully pushed in and out of me.
"Ma please help me, Ma, mommy please!" I called her hoping that if she heard her only child screaming out in pain, she would maybe come and save me. When she finally decided to come, she stood in the doorway, with her arms folded, just watching. I couldn't believe she was letting this happen to me but why did I expect anything more. Everyday she expressed her disgust for me, so why would she help me. I closed my eyes a prayed that this man didn't have any diseases. I kept my eyes closed as tears began to fall. It felt like eternity before he shot his load in me and stood up. I felt like straight filth when handed my mom a twenty dollar bill and walked out. After I saw that I couldn't stop the tears from falling.
"Shut the fuck up with all that damn crying. You was gonna lose it anyway, might as well get payed for it." I looked up at her when she said that, it was like her eyes had turned to stone cold grey. I knew at that moment that I had to get out of there, if I stayed things way worse would happened to me. Without thinking, I wrapped the sheet around my body and ran past my mother as fast as I could. As I opened the front door the cold night air hit me with force but I didn't let that stop me, I kept running out into the night. I didn't know where I was going or what my future held for me but I prayed to God that I would make it...
