Chapter Twenty - BONUS Pt. 1

"...and then I joined your brother and Uncle Iroh, while Aang, Katara, Sokka and Toph would travel to Ba Sing Se," Iris finished with another one story.

"Then what happened?" Kiyi asked curiously.

"Kiyi! It's past midnight, your mother's gonna kill me!" Iris said looking at the clock on Kiyi's bed table.

"But, Aunty, I wanna hear what happened next!" Kiyi protested.

"Tomorrow night," Iris said.

Kiyi sighed disappointedly saying "Okay,"

Iris pushed the bed sheets on Kiyi's body and she kissed the little girl's forehead.

"What are you going to do, now, Aunty?" Kiyi asked rubbing her eye tiredly.

"I'm going to sleep, something you need to do too," Iris said.

"Who's gonna kiss you goodnight, Aunty?" Kiyi asked with a mischievous smile on her little lips.

"Hey, that's adult stuff. I'll talk to you about them when you're older," Iris said pointing at the little girl. She walked out of the room closing the door saying "Sleep tight, Kiyi,"

Iris walked down the hall towards the Fire Lord's room. It was only a few steps away. Ty Lee and Suki were keeping guard outside.

"Hey, Iris, did Kiyi sleep?" Ty Lee asked.

"Hopefully," Iris answered giving a small glance at Kiyi's room and then turning her attention back at the Kyoshi Warriors in front of her. "Don't tell Ursa I let her stay up this late at night,"

Suki and Ty Lee chuckled "We won't," Suki said.

"Can I...?" Iris asked pointing at the Fire Lord's door.

"Oh, yes, of course," Suki said opening the door and letting her walk in. "Have fun tonight!"

"Hey, we're not going to-" Iris tried to say before she felt Suki pushing her in and closing the door.

Iris tried to ignore them and she walked further in the big room. Zuko could be seen from the window that he was out on the balcony, staring at the stars of the clear sky. He hadn't even noticed that she had entered the room.

Iris walked out in the balcony using her skills of being as quiet as possible. She wanted to surprise him and she succeeded. When she passed her hands around his waist from behind, he startlingly turned his head to who it was. But when he saw it was her he smiled widely pulling her in a tight hug.

"How was your day, Flamehead?" Iris asked smiling widely as she buried her face in his neck.

"Busy..." Zuko answered pulling back and cupping her face "...After the Kemuricage incident, it needs a lot to be done to put things back to normal," he rested his hands back on the railing and he turned his gaze on the horizon in front of them.

Iris rested her hands on the railing as well, asking "Still looking for New Ozai Society Members?"

"Yeah," Zuko answered.

"Mai sent me a letter this morning. She says that Tom-Tom is doing fine and her relationship with Kei Lo is great. I think she's happy," Iris said.

"That's good to know," Zuko said "Did Kiyi sleep?"

"Yup, it took about twenty-one stories for her to sleep," Iris said smiling.

Zuko chuckled "She's incredible. How did the first fire bending lesson go today?"

"She's very smart. She's learning too fast," Iris answered "But she certainly expected her brother to teach her,"

"I'll see if I can clear the schedule tomorrow," Zuko said turning at her and wrapping his both hands around her waist. "She's as smart as her Aunt," he said with a smile on his lips.
