Cheering up

Five days later

* * *

My bruises healed fully, and I felt like new. They healed quick, yes, but I never really knew they were there after the first day or so.

“Okay, we’re leaving now,” Zico shouted through to me in the living room, as they were going to rehearsals for their music video for Jackpot.

I had been listening to their songs because Shannon sent me through some songs via the interweb, and they were officially my new favourite band.

“Okay, see you in a bit,” I shouted back. I had arranged to stay at the house today and listen to their songs some more, not to mention to call Shannon.

When I had heard the front door close and lock, I relaxed back in the sofa. Then it was unlocked again and footsteps came running through the kitchen. I was about to get worried, when Kyung came running through. He grabbed my hand and just whispered, “you’re coming along,” to me.

“What? Why?” I asked quickly as he dragged me out to his car.

“Because Yukwon isn’t in a good mood today, and you always cheer him up.”

“I do? Why?” I climbed into his car which only had us in it, and he drove away.

“Well it’s either because he saved your life and you remind him he’s a good person, or he likes you.”

“I should hope he does like me, he’s like my second best mate!”

“No, not that way. And I’m supposed to be the innocent one,” he said shaking his head sadly.

We soon arrived at the dance studio, but before Kyung ran to the doors I managed to grab his wrist.

“So, which one is it then?”

“Hmm?”

“Which reason is it that I am supposed to cheer Yukwon up?”

“Both perhaps.” He shrugged his shoulders at me. “But I’m wagering on the second one.”

He then ran into the studio and scooted through a load of hallways. I tried to keep up, but my head was scrambling. Yukwon liked me?

When Kyung ran into the studio panting, I trailed in after him.

“What took you so long?” B-Bomb asked him in English. It just sort of happened for them nowadays to talk so I could understand them. It was sweet, though he didn’t notice I was there yet.

“I had to grab something.”

“Well let’s get on. I’m tired of doing the same dance over and over, frankly,” Yukwon said in a down voice, getting back into his formation. Kyung sent me a look saying see? and I just nodded.

When the boys had rehearsed their dances three times over, P.O suddenly tripped over his feet. Yukwon sighed in frustration, scraping his hands through his hair and walking away to the window on the far side of the room.

I crept up behind him, silencing the others with a finger over my mouth, then wrapped my arms around his torso from behind. He gasped and held his hands up in front of him.

I just whispered in his ear, “somebody’s a little grumpy today.”

Well he spun around in my arms and picked me up, swinging me around and smiling at me.

“When did you get here?” he asked me as he set me down.

“I came with Park Kyung. He thought you could use cheering up,” I laughed. “And it worked by the looks of it!”
