“He was a class A jackass. I know that now. But back then, he was my world. He was all I had. Literally, he drove my friends away and had me stop talking to them. But because I ‘loved’ him, I did it. And then he was all I had left. My whole fucking world revolved around that idiot. I would do anything for him, be anyone for him, buy anything for him.

“We never got as far as being intimate, but I thought that was because he was being nice. Boy was I wrong. Turns out, he was only hanging out with me so that I would keep his slate clean. He would be the last person expected of being a rapist if he had a goody goody girlfriend,” I said bitterly. Yukwon gasped and tensed up by my side, holding me closer.

“But that’s exactly what he was. I mean, he never raped me the whole time we were together. I had no idea. He seemed so popular, so I never thought he was capable of that. Until Tracy happened.”

I got up off of Yukwon’s bed and started pacing, recalling the whole story to him. After all, he deserved to know what he was getting into.

“One night, I was due to meet him at my house, since it was empty. This was after my parents had died. I went into my bedroom, and he was there with Tracy. And they were kissing on my bed. I don’t mean he was forcing himself on her, I mean she was like laid on top of him. I screamed at her and she got out of the house, but David was angry at me. He said that he was going to have sex with her, and now I had to do it with him instead.”

More tears rolled down my cheeks, but I knocked them away with the back of my hand. I continued pacing around the room, thankful that we had the time alone.

“Obviously I was angry at him for cheating and didn’t want to sleep with him, but he was never one to take no for an answer. So he...umm...ya know.”

I started breathing heavier and quicker, and the tears flowed more freely. Yukwon was by my side in less than an instant, engulfing me in a hug. I sobbed on his shoulder.

“Now you know,” I said slowly when I had stopped crying.

“I’m glad you told me. I just wish it had never happened, especially to one as beautiful as you. When did this happen?”

“About five months ago.” He gasped beside me, and held me tighter. I didn’t think it was possible. “That’s why I’m so glad I have you now.”

“I will never hurt you,” he said with ferocity. “I will be here for you. We’ll progress at your pace. No-one else’s. I love you, Jessika.”

“And I love you too, kitty.”

“Well good, because I’m never letting you go,” he joked, kissing the top of my ear. I laughed back at him through the tears.

That night, I slept peacefully. Before, when I had told the story to anyone, nightmares had been my companion for the next few weeks. But now, I felt nothing but relief. I put it down to knowing that it would never happen again – kitty is not the type to cheat on me, and he made it very clear that he wouldn’t ever hurt me. That thought comforted me.

I woke up the next morning tangled in with kitty. I was wearing joggers, and my legs were tied in with his. My arms were wrapped around his torso, as his did the same. It took me a moment to realise that there was someone shouting him.

“Yukwon, get up now before I drag you out of that bed!” Zico shouted.

“I’m up, just give me a minute!” he shouted back from next to me. I laughed at him. “I didn’t know you were awake,” he laughed.

“How could I not be?”

“You slept through it yesterday morning!”

“Well that was different, yesterday I was really tired.”

“You elude science, Miss Jessika.” Kitty gently pressed his lips to mine, giving me an innocent kiss. But I was far too sleep deprived to take that as enough. I needed something to wake me up. Kitty crawled to the end of the bed, “I must get up now and go film a video.”

“Must you?” I said innocently, before grabbing the hem of his shirt and pulling him back to me. I pulled him to my lips, kissing him more. With my arms woven around his neck, I laid down on my back and he followed.

“Not anymore,” he mumbled against my cheek as he dotted kisses around my face. “I’ll never get used to that.” He suddenly sat up leaving me on the bed.

“To what?” I asked him, but he just got up off the bed and stood near my head.

“Being able to do that, and this.” He swiftly picked me up bridal style, then swung me round in his arms and kissed me again.

Then my feet touched the ground again. “My my, Mr. Kitty. Keep going like that and I’ll have to keep you here.”

“If that’s supposed to be a bad thing, then your radar is messed up,” he joked, working his way around me to get some clothes.

“I’ll leave you to get changed in your own bedroom, and see you in the kitchen in ten?”

“Make it twelve. My hair is a mess.”

I was in the kitchen in ten, pouring a glass of water. I wore something that was nice and reserved, but hinted that I was still able to have a bad ass attitude. Yukwon soon came running out, but had B-Bomb in tow. He winked at me, walking past me and out the door. I shared his car with Tracy who insisted upon coming along, and Shannon got into Jaehyo’s car.

When we arrived at the studio, the boys were ushered into hair and make-up. I hung around with the girls at a table we found, discussing the boys and their flirting skills. Apparently, they had all carried on playing after Jaehyo and I left.

“I got Pyo,” Megan beamed. “He’s amazing at flirting, he just sort of singles you out and makes you feel like you’re the only one there.” She started gazing off into the distance, but we all knew she was dreaming about Pyo.

“Well I was blessed with Zico,” Shannon bragged. “He has a slightly rougher approach, but oh-my-god did it work!  He’s like my third favourite now, besides U-Kwon and Jaehyo of course.”

“Well Yukwon left before I could have my chance with him,” Tracy moaned. “So I got Kyung instead, but he’s my second favourite anyway.”

“U-Kwon is your bias?” I asked surprised.

“Uh, duh! He’s gorgeous!”

“Mundo problemo, Tracy. He has a girlfriend,” I said sadly, mocking being consoling.

“No way! What’s her name?”

“Umm Chika I think. She’s Japanese.” I thought quick on my feet, picking out the first name I remembered from watching a Korean television show a while ago. It even sounded like chicken.

“Have you met her?”

“Yeah, and they look really good together. Don’t worry about it, there’s still six others.” I smiled at her nicely, but I would near kill her if she tried the same thing with kitty as she did with David.
