Rescued?

I opened my dreary eyes to the sounds of a group of men speaking Korean. I guess that is to be expected, in South Korea. One look around confirmed that I had likely been kidnapped - I was in a strange house with a huge lawn out of the window. I was on a second storey by the looks of it, and a comfy sofa by the feel.

I launched myself up, then decided it would be best to get out of there - who knew why these people had taken me in? Footsteps were coming towards me, and I balled up my fists and pulled them to my chest in defence.

The man stopped a few steps away from me. He had a towel in his hands, and it had something in it, judging by the lump in the soft package. He held out his hands in submission, showing me he wasn't a threat. I took advantage of his halt to stare at him.

His hair was a blonde colour and spiked up with gel/hairspray, he looked to be a little less than six foot, and his eyes were a striking dark colour.

"Hangukmal hasil jul aseyo?" he asked me in a soothing voice, practically slapping me in the face with the fact that this was the man who found me in the alley.

I stared at him confused, not knowing what he had said.

"You are American?" he then said in English, and I shook my head.

"English," I breathed, taking a few steps away from him.

"I will not hurt you. My name is Kim Yukwon. Please, call me U-Kwon"

"Why am I here?"

"Better here than in that dirty alley. You have been asleep for eleven hours. We have not moved you from that sofa."

"We? Who's we?"

"Myself and the rest of my group. We are singers. Will you please let me, umm," he gestured to his towel, then opened it to reveal about ten ice cubes. "Your head is rather colourful."

I cautiously sat down on the sofa again, and he sat next to me. "What kind of colours?"

"Mostly purple, blue and red," he sad with a frown. "Why was this done to you?"

"Beats me. Some guy wanted my backpack, and it had everything in it. My money, my laptop, my life essentially. I'm screwed," I groaned. U-Kwon gently placed the towel on my forehead, and I instantly felt the cool ice through the towel fibres.

"What is your name, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Umm, Jessika."

"Pretty name, agassi."

"What's an agassi?"

"It is a sign of respect. You are my agassi because you are a female I don't know very well, and I am sure you are younger than me."

"I'm eighteen."

"Then agassi it is."

"Oppa," another male said and came through to the room, "are you almost ready for rehearsals?"

I spun round on the spot to see a white haired male enter the room, standing just inside the door.

"My name is Zico," he said politely. "I am the leader of our group."

"Jessika. Nice to meet you."

"Yes, Zico, I am ready," U-Kwon said to Zico. Then he turned to me. "Would you like to come along?"

"To your rehearsals?" I asked him unsurely. For all I knew, he was still planning on murdering me or something horrific like that.

"Yes. They only usually last about an hour. You can trust me."

"How do I know that?"

"Because you have made it this far." U-Kwon winked at me, and I couldn't supress the smile. "I understand that trust is earned, but I would like to earn yours, Jessika."

"Very well, you may earn it," I said in a posh voice. Then I remembered Shannon. "If you don't mind me asking, is there a laptop I could borrow? My friend will be going crazy."

"Of course," Zico said, "there will be one at the dance studio, I am sure."

U-Kwon stood above me, then offered me a hand to take. I slipped my hand in his and hoisted myself up, getting an intense pain in my side from where I was kicked. U-Kwon caught me when my legs gave way, wrapping my arm around his shoulders.

"I'll support you. Let's go."

* * *

We arrived at the dance studio, and I was introduced to everyone. There was P.O, Taeil, Jaehyo, B-Bomb, Kyung, and the other two I had already met. I knew I had heard the names before, but brushed it off as Deja Vu.

Zico found me the laptop he promised, and I loaded up Skype. I sat in a corner while the group practiced their choreography, but I was dead set on seeing Shannon's sarcastic smile. I plugged in a pair of earphones that were in my jacket pocket, and contacted her.

"Hey, what kept you so long?" she joked as she answered. The group couldn't hear her, thanks to the headphones.

"Circumstances. Like being mugged."

"What?!" she screamed, hurting my eardrums. "Oh my god, are you okay?!"

"I'm going to be fine. Just a few pains."

"Wait, if you got mugged then did he just leave you your laptop? Nice mugger."

"No," I laughed, "this is borrowed from some people who took me in."

"Awesome. Good to know there are people taking good care of my Jessie. And another up side, I have finally persuaded you to listen to some good music, apparently."

"What are you talking about?"

"You're listening to Block B! I can hear Jackpot playing. Did you find a live version or something? It sounds echoey"

And then the ball finally dropped.

I had been rescued by Block B.

"Not exactly," I mumbled in shock. "You're going to love me."

I slowly spun the laptop around on my knee to show Shannon the boys in practice, and the earphones practically jumped out of my ears. She was screaming, major fangirl style.

Just then, the boys finished with their dance, high fiving each other. U-Kwon turned and gave me a smile, so I flashed him a thumbs up.

I twizzled the laptop to face me again, and Shannon was sat with her jaw wide open, glaring at me. Since my earphones weren't in my ears anymore, I couldn't hear any of her ramblings. They would probably be telling me off for not telling her sooner.

"Agassi?" a voice announced, and it took me a moment to realise someone was referring to me. I looked up to see all seven boys looking at me, and one was smiling slightly. No surprises that it was my rescuer.

"Yes?"

"How is your head?" U-Kwon asked me.

"Still hurting a little. Not as much as my side though."

"Do you think you could manage one more run through? If not, I can dash you to our home."

"No no, I don't want to be a hassle. You guys carry on."

I plugged my earphones back in as they struck up Jackpot again, and Shannon only had two words to utter to me in her dazed state.

"Lucky Biatch."
