Later on that night, I dumped my bag in the living room when the boys came in with Megan and Tracey.

“What time are you girls leaving tonight?” Zico asked.

“Well our flight leaves at eight,” Shannon began.

“30 minute drive to the airport,” I chimed in, remembering what kitty had told me just days earlier.

“So if you leave here at around seven?” Kitty asked them and me.

“Sounds about right.”

“Cool, Jessika, could I have a word with you?” he then asked me.

“Sure.” I followed him through to the kitchen, where he was smiling at me.

“So, I was thinking,” he whispered, “maybe we can meet in my bedroom at half past six and walk out together?”

I laughed, “how long have you been thinking about this?”

“All day,” he smiled.

“Sounds cool. Your bedroom at six.”

Just then, Tracey walked in. “Oh hey, Jessika. I wanted to apologise about what I said yesterday to you. It wasn’t cool, I’m sorry.”

“That’s fine. No-one got really hurt,” I said with a small smile.

“Oh good, I would hate for us to fall out because the drink went to my head.”

“It’s fine, honest.”

She hugged me slightly, then ran off to find the others again.

“I don’t understand, after what Tracey did to you before, why are you and her still friends?”

“She’s a good person when she’s sober, I swear. She just turns really bitchy when she drinks.”

When it ticked round to half six, I made my excuses and trotted off to the kitchen. The boys nodded and went back to their discussions, Shannon went back to talking to Jaehyo, and the others had already left. The other girls had gone to get drinks for everyone a while ago.

I got into the kitchen, finding only Megan stood there with arms full of Coca Cola cans.

“Where’s Tracy?” I asked her.

“I don’t know, I think she disappeared in there about two minutes ago?” Megan weakly pointed her arm sideways, and my heart dropped. She was pointing to kitty’s room.

I took a deep breath, then walked straight into his room.

My heart broke in two.

No, three. Or four. I couldn’t count.

There was kitty, pressed against the wall, and Tracy in front of him. He had his eyes closed, and his hands on her shoulders. They were kissing.

I gasped when I saw them, making kitty push Tracy away. She turned to me, smiled evilly, then sashayed past me into the kitchen. All I could do was stand there and sob.

“Chicken—” Yukwon started to say, but I held up my hand and stopped him.

“How could you?” I whispered to him through my tears.

“I didn’t, I love you!”

But I wasn’t listening anymore. I just ran. I ran right into the living room in front of everyone, picked up my rucksack, and grabbed Shannon’s arm. I dragged her through to the bathroom with me, where she was utterly confused.
