(Y/n) watched intently as Capper emptied the money from the wallets onto the table. Capper was right, they did get off with a large haul. The amount in total was some where around thirty storm bucks and twenty gold coins. Twenty four when (Y/n) remembered the four coins that they had stashed under their hat. (Y/n) was impressed by how much they had earned in such a short amount of time. Capper's plan had worked out excellently bu (Y/n) still had a couple of questions.
"Hey Capper, if you're already so good at pick pocketing why did I have to create a diversion?" (Y/n) inquired.
"If I had taken the same six wallets normally, I would have raised a lot of suspicion after the firs three. Even half asleep locals will notice a cat slinking around around stealing wallets. With you singing no one even paid me a second thought." he explained.
"I guess that makes sense," (Y/n) agreed,"But I still have oné more question."
"Alright, shoot then."
"Why am I here?"
"Pardon?"
"I mean why am I still here. You said last night that I could stay until the sand storm was over. Well now its over and I'm still here. I want to know why."
Capper paused and thought for a minute before replying. "Its because I know what its like to be a lone cat in Klugetown. It isn't fun. If I had some one who could have helped me back then my first few months in Klugetown would have so much easier. I want you to be able to take care of yourself out here, so until you learn how to fend for yourself you can stay with me."
(Y/n) felt a rush of relief after he had finished. They had not been looking forward to sleeping on the streets that night. They were happy Capper was going to help them survive in this crazy town.
"Was that your plan all along?"
"No," Capper admitted, " but you managed to change my mind."
"How?"
" "We've both been through some hard times, I guess I found it hard to let you suffer more when I could help you." he admitted."Plus its nice to see another Abyssinian for a change."
"That's... very nice of you Capper."
"Don't thank me yet. Once you figure out how to fend for yourself you're on your own, got it?"
(Y/n) nodded happily. "Still, its nice to know I have a friend out here."
Capper looked at them in surprise before opening his mouth like he was going say something before (Y/n) cut him off.
"You have no idea how great it feels to know that I'm not alone out here." they purred.
"Y-yeah.." was all Capper could manage to say.
He sat there in silence as (Y/n) moved towards the spot they had slept the night before and began to tidy up the area. Capper didn't say a thing, he just stood up and moved towards a nearby window. He leaned against the glass and stored down at the streets below.
"A friend huh?" he thought to himself as he watched the locals mill about in the street,"I wouldn't be so sure about that."
