(Y/n) walked over to Capper's side and curiously peered out the window to see what was so interesting.   He was staring pretty intently at the street below, maybe something was happening. Capper jumped slightly in surprise once her realised how close they were. (Y/n)'s eyes scanned the street below for anything unusual.

"Can I help you?" Capper chuckled.

(Y/n) shook their head , "I was just trying to see what was so fascinating outside."

There was a moment of silence before (Y/n) started talking again.

"So are we going to head back and try again?"

"No, if we frequent the same spot and pull the same trick people will quickly catch on. We could, how ever, head to another par of the cit in a couple of days and try again there."

"I guess that makes sense." (Y/n) admitted. "So, what are we going to do with the money?"

"We are going to buy food and water." Capper replied," That should take most of today's earnings."

"Wait, really?"

"Yeah, stuff in Klugetown is expensive. The first day I was here a friend and I scrounged and thieved all day and all we could afford was a half eaten fish and half of an orange."

"Why not the full orange?"

"Because that cost five more coins than we had. We used it in an attempt to make the fish look fancy."

"Where is this friend now?"

Capper's expression darkened and his body tensed. (Y/n) could tell they had struck some sort of nerve and awkwardly shifted from paw to paw.

" (Y/n)?" Capper finally said.

"Y-yes?"

"Please don't bring them up ever again. I don't want to think about them."

"I'm sorry, I didn't know this would make you so upset, I just-" (Y/n) mumbled.

"Its alright, just do me a favor and don't bring them up again." Capper muttered.

"s-sure. Wait where are you going?" (Y/n) asked in alarm as Capper scooped the money off the table and headed towards the door.

"Out to blow off some steam and buy supplies." Capper replied," Stay in the mill until I get back."

"Look, Capper, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to-"

" (Y/n), its fine, you didn't know. I just need some space right now."Capper uffed as he pushed open the door," Just stay inside until I get back alright."

With that he walked out the door. The door swung shut with a soft click and (Y/n) was left alone with their thoughts, wondering what had happened between Capper and his "friend".
