Chapter 40

Ali's POV

I was shocked. I'm not going to lie. But I was also very happy. Happy that my 18 year old best friend and my big brother had found each other. I'm so ecstatic that he's in love. And with my best friend, that makes it even better. They probably thought I'd be mad, but I'm not. Quite the opposite actually.

"I love you to Jonah." I watched as my best friend let out and my brother took her face in his hands and kissed her deeply. I watched in awe as they were adorable and my eyes slid over to Jace and I watched as his eyes were wide and in surprise. He looked to me and he started to walk towards me. When he reached me I took his hand in mine and whispered to him all the while waiting for the two to break apart for air so I could tell them how I feel.

"They are adorable together..." I whispered.

I felt him lean into my ear.

"But not as adorable as us." He whispered and kissed my cheek.

I cracked a smile and squeezed his hand, they finally broke apart.

I smiled a real big smile.

"I'm honestly so happy for you two, I'm a little disappointed you didn't tell me, but I understand why. I see the love in both your eyes, and I know you guys will be great together." I said to both of them with tears in my eyes.

I watched as Sara broke away from Jonah and ran over to me. I embraced her in my arms.

"Thank you A." I heard her whisper holding me tight.

We broke apart and I looked at her straight in the eye.

"You didn't need my permission to love my brother Sara." I said whispering.

"You can't help who you fall in love with." I stole a quick glance to Jace and then looked back at her.

"And you fell in love with one of the most amazing guys I know...my brother. And I think that's wonderful."

I saw tears slip from her eyes and roll down her cheeks.

"Awe I love you so much Allison." She hugged me again.

I closed my eyes and held her tight.

"I love you to S."

We broke apart and I turned all my attention to my brother.

"And you big brother better not break her heart." I said walking closer to him.

"Or you will be in so much trouble you got that?" I asked him seriously.

"Yes, I love her so much." He whispered so only I could hear.

"And I won't ever hurt her." He whispered again.

"You better not." I wrapped my arms around his torso and rested my head on his chest.

"I won't." He embraced me in his arms.

We broke apart and Jonah went over to Sara and entwined their hands.

"Well now lets get this baby shower going!" Sara exclaimed dragging Jonah along with her to the kitchen.

I exclaimed and waited back for Jace.

When he reached me he wrapped an arm around my waist and we walked to the kitchen where I could smell Mac n cheese, and saw chicken salad sandwiches on a plate in the middle of the table.

I smiled big and looked up to Jace, and he was already smiling down at me.

"The Mac N cheese was my idea." He told me.
