Chapter 47

Ali's POV

Four days later...

"Hello there my sweet Levi." I whispered over the crib, touching his soft baby face.

It was about 9'am and I heard him through the baby monitor.

Jace was still asleep so I didn't wake him, the past two nights have been a bit rough for him since Levi likes to cry a lot during the night, and Jace being as sweet as he is gets up during the night because he says he wants to, and wants me to get some rest. The first two days after Levi was born I stayed at the hospital to heal a bit. Jonah and Sara did end up coming and meeting the baby. Jonah got really emotional which of course made me emotional. Sara squealed and was so happy to meet Levi.

I gave my crying Levi all my attention.

"Ahh come here sweetheart." I whispered again, gently and carefully taking my baby into my arms. He had on a cute red onesie that said "mommys new man" and I knew when I saw it at the store it would be cute. His crying settled down a bit once he got in my arms. I walked over to the rocking chair by the mirror and sat down. I cradled his small form into my arms. Taking in his opened green eyes as he sucked his small thumb. I smiled softly while I looked down at him taking in the sweet silence.

"Did mommy make you stop crying?" I asked in that voice you use to talk to younger/smaller children.

"I think you did Love."

I snapped my head up to the door of the room and saw Jace leaning against the door with one foot crossed over the other, his hair messy in a sexy way, and of course shirtless. His arms were crossed and watched as he yawned.

"Babe what are you doing up?"

"I could ask you the same thing sweetheart." He said un crossing his arms and walking inside the room.

"I heard him crying, and I wanted you to sleep. So I got up to get him." I said looking back down at my precious Levi.

"Love, I told you I could do this while you got some res-"

"No, Jace. I don't want rest. I don't need rest. I wanted to hold my baby and make him stop crying. I'm perfectly fine Jace. You are the one who needs rest." I said. Really surprised at my beginning attitude.

He seemed taken back at what I said, but it was the truth.

I am seriously fine.

"I can handle this Jace. I'm his mother." I whispered to him trying to get my point through.

"I know you do Love, I just want to make sure you'll be okay." He seemed to choke out that last word.

"Babe I'm fine. Honestly, I've never been better." I smiled.

"I wouldn't lie to you." I completed.

"I know." His hand touched my cheek.

"I love you, you know that right?" He looked into my eyes.

I nodded. "I love you too."

His lips then captured mine in a long sweet kiss.

When we pulled back we saw Levi smile really big, and I could see the twinkle in his eyes.

"And I love you too Levi." I bent down and kissed his nose.
