Chapter 42

Ali's POV

The next day

I can't wait until 3 days from now.

May 15th is going to be amazing...I'll finally be 18. An adult. Legal. Jace and I can finally show our relationship to the world and no body can do anything about it.

"What are you smiling about?" I heard Jace's voice beside me. His fingers played with my hair, twirling it around his finger. Our legs were tangled in the bed sheets, my hands rested on my stomach with my back against the mattress where as Jace was propped up on his elbow looking at me with a smile on his face. I turned my head towards him all giddy.

"My birthday is in 3 days! 3 days Jace! And then we can finally not have to worry about getting caught. People can finally see how much we love each other." I said the last part softly.

He pulled me close to him and wrapped his arms around me as he put his forehead on mine.

"I know, you have no idea how exited I am. I can't wait until the world knows that you are the love of my life." He then kissed my lips.

The kiss was filled with passion, and lots of love.

We broke apart and his next words made my heart melt for the thousandth time.

"I love you."

"I love you to Jace, so much."

JACE's POV

May 15th

I've been waiting for this day. I've been waiting to show what's mine. I've been waiting to make her mine.

Permanently.

Ali's POV

May 15th

I feel so...so freaking great.

I feel refreshed in a way, like I'm a brand new person.

I don't know if that makes sense, but, I just do. I feel older, in a good way. I feel like an adult which I am. I don't feel like a young teenager any more.

"Happy Birthday sweetheart!" His voice whispered in my ear.

I turned my head towards him and opened my eyes. We were still in bed, it was only about 9:00 am.

When I opened my eyes I smiled as I saw his face was lit up brightly in glee.
His icy blue eyes were bright, and his hair was messy...so fucking sexy.

"Thank you." I responded.

"Your welcome." He said raising up from his side and planting a soft kiss against my cheek.

I watched in awe as he stood up shirtless and walked to the bathroom. I just dazed off into space thinking about today's un said plans.

Jace had something planned but he wouldn't tell me what. I didn't pester him about it, I just decided to wait and see what would happen today.

He came out a minute later with a toothbrush in his mouth, still shirtless if I may add.

His abs were...gorgeous.

"Darling." He said taking the tooth brush out of his mouth and then putting it back in.

I looked up into his eyes.
