Oh no.  I'm late for training and I'm lost! I tried to ask someone for directions but the other campers were late as well. I saw Silvia and I rushed towards her.

"Silvia! I know I'm late for my training but I can't seem to find the archery field."

"It's around the corner of cabin 9," she explained.

"Thank you!" I said as I started to run.

I'll never make it in time and I'm tired from running. My legs felt like lead.

Hey, why don't I fly there? I willed myself to fly but I wobbled in the air. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

I made it to the archery court a few minutes later. I was still late because I could barely control myself in the air. I landed with a thump and got a few scrapes.

Annabelle turned around and saw me. "There you are! I was wondering when you'd arrive," she said as she helped me up.

She chuckled and I grunted.

"For our first lesson, I'll teach you how to land, since that's what you seem to need work on."

She chuckled again as she lifted herself up into the air. I followed her and struggled to turn. I ended up doing a backflip in the air.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" I yelled.

A few campers on the ground stopped what they were doing and stared at me. I stopped flipping and looked at Annabelle.

"You know, let's work on landing later. You seriously need to learn how to turn," she said.

"Okay. How do you turn right?" I asked.

"Oh, you just need to look right and will yourself to go forward," she explained.

"That's it?" I said, surprised.

"Yup! Now you try."

I looked right and then willed myself to move forward. Sure enough, it worked. But then I started to go forward too fast. Almost as fast as Jack! Okay, not quite that fast but still very quick. I couldn't stop leaning forward.

Annabelle yelled from far away, "Stop leaning forward!!!"

I had leaned forward so far that I started flipping. I finally started to lean back. I thought that this would stop my flipping. Instead, I ended up doing backflips!

Annabelle flew close and stopped me from flipping.

She held onto me and said, "The farther you lean forward, the faster you go. But if you lean too far forward, you flip. To stop flipping you have to lean back if you're doing front flips. If you're doing back flips, you have to lean forward."

I was getting dizzy and I couldn't concentrate. I caught my breath. "What time is it?"

Annabelle said, "It's only 2:35. We end at 3:00, but I'll let you go early. Lets meet here tomorrow. The day after tomorrow, you fight crime from 3:30 to 5:30."

I landed with a heavy thud and wearily headed towards my cabin.
