Destiny's p.o.v

Upon hearing the information Clary had just found out, Alec became furious. Which is such a low even for him. It wasn't Clary's fault that Valentine is her father, she didn't know. Having been told her father died fighting in the war. A lie that her mother stuck with, until now.

"You mean to tell me that this girl shows up out of nowhere and she's Valentine's daughter! Did it ever occur to you that she could be a spy?" Alec says glaring at Clary, who looked scared at my husbands actions.

I grabbed his arm "Oh come on love, the poor girls mother is missing and she has no memories of our world," I say speaking to him in a soft voice as his muscles relaxed. But he was still mad.

"Do you think I planned for my mother to get kidnapped or for me to find out that my father is evil," Clary says yelling at Alec. Which she had every right too because she was upset and I didn't blame her one bit.

Yes I was quite sceptical of her at first, as its not everyday new Shadowhunters just pop into existence. But having looked more into the situation, its not Clary who is to blame at all, it's her mother who felt obligated to conceal Clary's true identity from her. Having her raised as a mundane.

Through all this commotion Izzy came back but without Simon "Where's the mundane?" I say looking at my parabatai.

"I heard a noise so I went to see what it was. I told him to stay in the van but now he's gone," she says with a look of worry on her face.

This didn't go over well with Clary as she began yelling at Izzy "What, you were supposed to protect him," and just like that she was gone, back to the van.

"These mundanes are killing me," I say grabbing Alec and Izzy's hands before running after Clary with Jace following us.

----

So it turns out that Simon was taken by the vampires. He is meant to be some sort of ransom to hold over Clary. As they want her to hand over the mortal cup, which she obviously doesn't have, as its been lost since the downfall of the circle.

Well the Clave wants us to think that they have the cup, but when you're part downworlder you come to know things as there's been talk spreading about the down world. The cup has been missing and nobody knows where it is.

Or so we thought.

With all the hustle and bustle of everything, we made it back to the institute. Everyone was trying to come up with a way to free Simon so he didn't get hurt. However my mind was elsewhere as I had a duty to uphold until Maryse and Robert got back.

"We are going to get Simon back," Jace says bringing me out of my thoughts "Are you guys coming?"

"As much as I would love to help you, Alec and I need to run the institute until Robert and Maryse come back," I say looking up at Jace and Alec nods

"We need to stay here," Alec tells Jace as he nods before leaving.

"Whatever you say boss,"

Sometimes Jace has humorous moments and I knew that was one of them as I let out a giggle. But then I frowned. We might have lied a bit because we didn't want to break any more Clave rules.

I was typing away on some screens while filling out some paper work, I don't know where Alec went. He must've finished his work early and went to busy himself while we waited for the others to come back.

After doing my work for half an hour I decided to go to my room and lay down for awhile as I was beginning to feel stressed over everything that's happened in this short but of time.

I walked in to see Alec asleep on the bed, shirtless. I smiled at how peaceful he looked, there wasn't an ounce of stress on his face, and he even appeared to look more youthful. Crawling in beside him and I rested my head on his bare chest.

I really cherish moments like this because even though Alec and I are married, we hardly get to go things that married people do because we are always working or going on missions. I snuggled in my husband before falling into a peaceful long sleep.

The next morning I woke up and looked at the clock to see it was 7:20 am, Alec was still asleep beside me so I crept out of bed carefully so I didn't wake him, then I walked over to the window and just stared out of it.

After a while I felt arms snake around my waist and felt a head rest on my shoulder "Good morning Alec," I saying turing around to look at him as he smiled making my heart melt.

"Good morning my angel," he says placing a kiss on my lips, I kissed back making the kiss last a few minutes before pulling away.

"Come on love let's go get breakfast," he says taking my hand as we walk to the kitchen, getting ready to start the day.
