Destiny's p.o.v

I swear on the angels that Jace is over reacting. Like if Clary was still in the tunnels then Alec probably found her on his way here. Right now Jace has the whole Institute in an uproar, he telling everyone to go look for Clary, as if shes some lost little girl.

Now I may not like Clary that much but I'm sure she can find her way back here. Also she is pretty tough for being untrained.

Jace was just telling everyone to clear out when Alec came into the room with Clary just as I thought.

Jace had his back to them so he didn't see them come in "How long how he been like this?" Alec asks standing beside me.

"About an hour, and it was getting ridiculous," I say looking up at him.

Clary ran over to Jace, who stopped barking orders and gave her a passionate kiss.

"Now that I didn't see coming," Alec said and I smiled.

"I did, you're just unobservant," I tell him and he gives me a look of mock hurt.

"I am observant," he says and I laugh.

"Keep telling yourself that," I say and he begins to chase me.

This is something we hadn't done since we were kids but it was great to run around again. It felt amazing as if you didn't have a care in the world.

I took a sharp left, then ran passed the kitchen, I turned right and dove into the library. Quickly I hit behind a shelf at the far back corner of the room, crouching down I kept quite.

I sat for a few minutes just listening for Alec, all was silent from inside the room "Who are you hiding from?" a voice said from behind me and I jumped, I barely had time to realise it was my brother in law Max, before Alec had found me and chased me into our room.

Alec caught me in his strong arms and spun me around "Gotcha," he says with his cute smile.

"I see that," I say looking up at him.

He leans down and is about to kiss me when I realised the person who scared me in the library as Max "Wait, not now. MAX IS HOOOMMME!!!" I say slipping out of Alec's arms and run down the hall to the library.

I heard Alec sigh as he followed me, and I entered the library to see my favourite little brother. Let me tell you that I was so happy that he was finally home. I missed him running around the Institute wanting to know what the adults were up too. He really wanted to be treated like one and it was adorable.
