Nova's pov

Today's the big day. My first day of college. There's honestly no words to even describe how excited I am right now. I turn off my alarm and sit up stretching from the good night sleep I got.  I get out of bed and go over to my bedroom door opening it and hear girls screaming.  By girls I mean my best friends: Hannah, Kylie and Lexi.  I've known these girls for years and we've all been best friends ever since we met.  I can't picture myself without them. 

I laugh to myself a little that they're already fighting over something on our first day of college.  I walk out to the hall and see Hannah and Lexi fighting over who gets to go into the bathroom first to get ready.

"I need to get in first!" Hannah said.

"You need to or you want to?" Lexi said.

"Does it matter?  Lexi, please let me get in first.  Please please please please..." Hannah was saying and I cut in.

"Why does it matter who gets in first? I mean didn't we all agree to leave at the same time? We're gonna wait for each other so we can all arrive together" I said.

"Yes, but we only have two hours.  Two hours!!" Hannah said.

"You guys are so loud and annoying" Kylie said walking up the stairs. We noticed she was already dressed and ready and I nodded my head impressed.

"How? When?" Hannah said confused.

"I made sure to wake up an hour early before you guys because I knew this was gonna happen.  I'm the smart one, remember?" Kylie said smiling.

"She is the smart one" I said.

"I made breakfast, it's downstairs" Kylie said then walked back down the stairs.

"I'm getting in first!" Hannah yelled again.

I rolled my eyes and walked into my room grabbing all my stuff to get ready then walked back out into the hallway.  Hannah and Lexi were still fighting so I walked past them into the bathroom and closed the door locking it.

"Hey! What are you doing!?!" Hannah yelled.

"You guys were taking forever!" I yelled back.

"Nova, you better not take long or else I'm breaking the door down and dragging you out!" Lexi yelled. I laughed to myself a little then turned the shower on ignoring them.

"I'm making a schedule I swear!" Hanna yelled.

"Good idea, Hannah! Now go downstairs both of you.  I wanna take a shower in peace" I yelled back. I heard them sigh and then heard one stomp down the stairs and the other go into their room and I shook my head.  It's gonna be great living with them this school year...total sarcasm. 

This is our first time all being in a house together.  These past 5 months living together were good but now that school is starting I'm sure things are going to be really stressful.  I look at myself in the mirror and just stare at my reflection.  Well, actually, I dozed off thinking about college.  What's this year gonna be like? Are my expectations of college gonna be ruined? Am I even gonna find a major to take? All these questions and many more are running through my head and I don't have an answer to any of them.
