Troy's Pov

Tonight was the night we would finally catch this monster. We were able to track it down to a dock on Long Island. My team was divided into smaller groups to wait for any suspicious activity. Asher was with me behind crates overlooking the water. The chilly October air was getting to all of us. I could hear everyone sniffling over our coms (courtesy of Hadley).

"Would this monster just show up?" Asher complained.

"I can't wait to take a warm bath," Angel agreed over the coms.

"I wonder why this thing is stationed so far away from the attacks," Jason questioned. He, Percy, and Apollo were listening in just in case we needed assistance.

"Does it really matter? This monster is ruining perfectly good demigods, including my children," Apollo said.

"Aw, you do care," Harmony said sarcastically.

"Hey, I've improved through the years," he claimed. "Just ask your elder siblings."

"Do you guys hear that?" Kailani said.

"No, what is it?" I responded.

"Sounds like a truck," she said. She was the only one alone, flying around.

"Check it out."

"Probably just mortals," Asher muttered.

"Troy, come check this out," Kailani said.

I leave Asher and creep past the main warehouse to stand next to Kailani facing the road. Two trucks were pulling up past the gates. Once they stopped two men jumped out of each truck. They moved into the warehouse with one man carrying a briefcase. I motion to Kailani to follow me. We go around the warehouse to watch the conversation through a window. The men had gathered around a table. The briefcase was placed in the center of it.

"Where is she?" a black-haired man said.

"She said she's on her way," a long, red-haired man scoffed.

Just then the shadows in front of them darkened and appeared a woman and a large dog. Wait...no that's a--

"Hellhound!" Kailani gasped.

"Are you sure?" Angel asked.

"Unless you know of another kind of dog that's larger than those trucks," I said.

"So the hellhound harmed the campers?" Harmony asked.

"Possibly. Wait for my signal before attacking."

I tuned back into the scene in front of me just as the woman stepped more into the light. She had on a black trench coat which contrasted to her blonde hair. I couldn't see much of her other features due to the dirty window.

"Do you have the money?" the woman said.

"Of course. We just need to get the resources," one with a ballcap answered.

The hellhound sat as the woman went forward. "Ah, we're so close to getting that spoiled brat. I've waited so long for this."

"You know we can't harm him," the blonde one said.

"Not yet at least," Ballcap said.

"Okay, we're moving in. They have plans to harm someone," I said. "Angel, shadow travel in and deal with the hellhound. Hadley and Willa, take two men. Asher and Kailani, take the others. Harmony, I want you to stay outside just in case one of them try to escape. I'll handle the woman. Move in."

Kailani uses the wind to carry her back around while I open the window. As I slid in, Angel appeared behind the hellhound. It sensed her and barked. Its bark shook the whole warehouse, bringing attention to Angel. "Who are you?" Red said.
