Missiles are the third arm of the Navotas army. Few of the other powers put such heavy reliance on these kinds of weapons, due to their vulnerability to defensive fire. However, the Navotas feels that numbers can make up for this fact, and all ships have the potential to carry a heavy missile payload. Even more frightening then that are the arsenal ships. Modified from cargo carriers, these massive vessels can carry a missile payload that can completely inundate an enemy fleets defensive system.
Defenses:
The Compact Navy makes use of a triple layered defensive system, the first being its defensive energy fields. These are made of several layers. The first is a dispersion field to interfere with remotely projected magnetic fields. The second is a layer of highly reflective and absorbent particles held within a magnetic grid. The third and final layer is a heavy magnetic interceptor field. The second layer of the defensive system is active countermeasures. These include heavy electromagnetic spectrum jammers, decoy drones and defensive lasers.
The third layer is that of the hull. It consists of the proprietary composite armor system developed by Concepcion Aerospace. Ships can be covered in highly variable thicknesses, ranging only a few inches, to several yards.
