The M-48 was built to correct some of the deficiencies of the M-40.It can only carry a single squad of infantryman, but it makes up for it with much heavier defense fields and adequate firepower to support its infantry once they have disembarked. Its armament consists of a 70mm hydrox burst cannon, two light lasers on anti-tank Thumper-HVM launcher, and 4 Fluro anti-infantry rocket pods.
