Look at those tiny lights shine
They brave the cold dark night
Isn't that a reminder to you, my dear
That obstructions exist for you to clear.
God put a dream in your heart
Because he knew you were blessed in that craft
Then what stops you from dreaming and living those dreams
Why not make your life as utopian as in your dreams it seems?
For every different untravelled path, there are a hundred inhibitions
But you, my warrior, are assigned to complete this mission
Confusions, doubts, inhibitions you'll have to face many
But you've gotta earn the title of the champion of your life - the one and only.
Be brave warrior, have patience and courage
Don't let anyone make you believe your dream is just a mirage
Because your goal - your dream is your reality
Living your dream is how you live life truly.
Don't be afraid from a fall
Don't abandon your dream just because there is no affirmative call
Your heart's content rhythm, your soul's approving nod
Is all the permission you need even though the world labels it 'odd'.
Continue warrior, keep going
You may be entering a stormy ocean but keep rowing
Those who were afraid of the sea never discovered an island
Show the world that the river of your dream will make it through this sand.
Dream your dreams because they were put in your heart for a reason
Don't ever abandon it - to yourself don't do this treason
You are meant to pave your path no matter how resistant the stones are
Set on your dream path champion, it's never too far.
Dream your dreams because they are meant to be true. Believe in yourself and keep working for your goal, whatever it is. Though at times things seem too distant and unrealistic, remember people who dared to think differently had to face struggles before they succeeded.
I felt the inspiration to write this poem as I looked around and saw the lights decorating homes since it's Diwali season. And this reminds me to wish you all a Happy Diwali.
