THAT JOURNEY

Where all didn't I search him
What all I didn't do to seek Him
For the attainment of that divine feeling
To get his ultimate blessing

Every journey I did undertake
No ritual or custom did I put at stake
Every religious place I did visit
Every pious person I did meet

Still I feel I had reached nowhere
Though tired and hopeless, I didn't care
For in this journey I had to fare
Be so determined that I make obstacles fear

Finally, I reached the end point if my journey
After spending my time, energy, means and money
Still I waited for that divine sound to be heard
Which people say had become inaudible in this world

Dejected, I sat alone wondering
Whether this journey would be enriching
Fill me joy, happiness and faith
Or prove to be an utter mistake

And then I closed my eyes
And heard my inner voice's cries
For so long had it shouted to make me realise what I had wanted
Finally, embraced that divine feeling
Which was always there, only I had been unwelcoming
Finally, I did realise I was in a senseless adventure
Since my Creator's essence was present in each of his creations.
