Hina joined in on the laughter as they made it back to her room.
"So, uh, the only thing I ask is that you tell Toma never to do that again," Drift said.
"Of course. She has never beaten me in a fight. I can take her if she tries to pull something on you." assured Hina.
"That is very reassuring," Drift said. He grinned. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." replied Hina.
As Hina closed her suitcase, she moved it off her bed and placed it down on the floor. She turned around, flashed a battle stance making Drift flinch again.
"Ha, ha, ha! I got'cha!"
Drift regained as focus and instead of being upset, he smirked at the girl. Almost quiet evilly. It was then Hina stopped laughing.
"Oh now you're not laughing," said Drift.
"I thought you'd get pay back on me or something that's why I stopped laughing!" replied Hina.
"I don't get payback on girls," joked Drift, who didn't actually mean it.
"Oh really? You know, we never really did finish our game back at Bamboo Park." Hina recalled.
"No we didn't," Drift said, smiling.
"In that case, catch me if you can!" Hina bolted out the door, running down the hallway with Drift running after her.
"Come back!" called Drift.
"Gotta catch me first sonny boy!" teased Hina.
"Oh ha, ha. You're funny," Drift said.
Hina ran into the lounge room and hid behind the couch. Drift ran through the door, cautiously taking his steps.
"Okay Hina . . . where are you?"
She tucked her knees up to her chest, pressing her back against the fabric trying not to be spotted.
"Alright, where are you Hina?" questioned Drift, looking around.
Hina swiftly moved from the couch to behind a loveseat leather chair just as Drift drew near the couch. Drift glanced behind the couch, but no one was there.
"Okay, where are you?"
She picked up a small toy from the floor and tossed it at Drift, hitting him in the back of his head. As he turned, Hina quickly moved for the door.
"Hey! Stop it!" he hollered, moving in the direction the toy came from.
She quickly hid outside the room, up against the wall next to the doorway. After a few moments, she stepped into the room, leaning against the doorway with her arms crossed. "Looking for someone?"
Drift looked behind him, smiling. "I was just going easy on you."
"Pfft. Oh please." replied Hina while rolling her eyes.
"I was!" Drift retorted, nearly bursting with laughter.
"Okay then tell me this. If you 'weren't' going easy on me, what would you do?" asked Hina putting air quotes around weren't.
"I'd . . . uh . . . " Drift struggled to find his words. " Probably, um, find you quickly . . . "
"Come on, tell me! I won't judge." said Hina.
"Okay, I probably wouldn't have found you," Drift admitted.
"Aw come on, you're a robot alien ninja. You can obviously catch me if you didn't go easy on me." replied Hina.
