Dorothy's pov.

I walked down the path adorned with blue flowers on both sides, like I've been doing for the past few hours. My knees were starting to go weak but I couldn't bring myself to stop. Its like my body was moving on its own accord. For some reason, the path was evenly aligned with bright yellow bricks.

"Some wizard of oz shit" I muttered.

The forest was dark, as dark as it could ever be. I wouldn't see anything if I ventured into the forest so it's best I continue along the path.

A dandelion swept past me and I could have sworn I heard Coral's voice.

"You are safe"

It sounded so much like Coral's but maybe it's the fact that I haven't communicated with her since I landed in this dimension making me imagine her voice. It's like she never even existed, like I was just a plain... Human.

The whole situation felt weird and nauseating.

I continued my walk down the path until I came across a floral arch, it was beautifully decorated with still the blue flowers. I noticed from a distance a lady sitting on a bench, with uncertainty I approached her.

A little smile appeared on her face as I approached her, like she knew I was coming.

Her face came into view, I expected a young lady but instead I came across an old lady. She appeared to be in her late 70's. Her grey almost silver hair was packed into a chignon, her skin looked wrinkled but still had a glow.

"Beautiful day isn't it my dear" the old lady scooched over slowly and patted the free space so that I could sit next to her.

Her voice, just her voice seemed familiar.

Still with caution, I nodded and lowered myself unto the bench and casted a smile at her. "Hello" I said while staring right at her.

"Hello child, you seem lost" the lady said with the kindest smile I've ever seen. She kind of reminded me of my grandmother who died right after the death of my Grandpa.

"Yes ma'am, I don't know where I am or how I got here" I sighed.

"Well you are here, aren't you? And please call me Athena, it's more comfortable" she replied with a rich laughter while holding her sides and squinting her face.

"Are you in pain?" I asked suddenly alarmed. "I don't think there was any hospital near but we could walk further to get help" I suggested quickly.

"No, no I'm fine. You can't feel pain when you're happy Dorothy" she chuckled.

"You know my name? How? I don't think we've ever met before" I rambled, suddenly surprised.

Maybe she brought me here or maybe she knows why I'm here or may-

"I know the clogs in your head are working wonders right now but I'm surprised you don't recognise me Dorothy. What happened to my little girl with the most angelic voice who prayed every night for a mate" she laughed " OK, I've had my fun"

She rose from her seat and spread out her arms. Dandelions appeared out of nowhere and shielded her from my view.

A beautiful young lady took the place of the old lady. Gone were the wrinkled skin and chignon. Her silver hair cascaded down and her skin was fairer than snow.

She smiled gracefully at me.

Out of instinct, I dropped to my knees and bowed in respect.
